Sarah Jennings Sculpture: Banks' Mill Open Studios Weekend
http://sarahjenningssculpture.blogspot.com/2010/11/banks-mill-open-studios-weekend.html
Banks' Mill Open Studios Weekend. Well I have finally made it to a Banks' Mill. Open studios weekend.it's taken me four years, but it was well worth the few hours we spent exploring the four floors of creative businesses. Highlights for me included:. Paintings and sculpture, especially ones made using thousands of balloons, working with balloons myself. S detailed illustrations of local places and last but not least Rachel Emmerson's. Other purchases included:a print from Karate Grafika Ltd.

Sarah Jennings Sculpture: Maker statement
http://sarahjenningssculpture.blogspot.com/p/maker-statement.html
My sculptures are inspired by the shapes, textures and colours of both urban and rural landscapes. As a result they often reference ornithology and the human figure; their intriguing forms inviting the viewer to touch and find their own interpretation or meaning. Although informed by the works of many, including Noguchi, Moore and Arp, my work is very much technique-led, and is the outcome of the interaction between myself and the processes and materials I am working with.
