Your most important item is a good walking shoe. Usually, your sport shoe can do the trick. Save the flipflops for the pool and crocs for the water tunnel. A hat with a brim. A baseball cap is good too, but even better is a hat with a brim, it is like an instant sun umbrella. Think Indiana Jones. A light wrap or jacket for Jerusalem nights in the summer. For winter, a good jacket. Casual clothes all day and night everywhere. Shabbat is casual too, but not shorts. Goggles for the pools. Is inevitable....

The Gourd Art of Debra Toth. Incised gourd with leather dyes, 2004. Debra Toth's gourds are cured, cleaned and then crafted using contemporary methods and tools. The gourds are first carved, then dyed, painted and embellished with wood burning or natural materials. Since ancient times gourds have been used as musical instruments, storage containers and vessels. Fragments and seeds of gourds were unearthed in Peru dating from 10,000 B.C. and in Gainesville, Florida dating from 11,000 B.C.
