The Imagination Station: Quiet Book Cover
http://sarahscreativebrain.blogspot.com/2012/05/quiet-book-cover.html
Sunday, May 13, 2012. As I have said before, my cover took some thinking. Really- it was the easiest thing in the world but for some reason the day I made it my brain shut down so I had to have a girl friend actually SHOW me how she made hers before I did mine. For the latch I used the exact same idea as the body of the cover. I cut two rectangles the length and width I wanted. Sewed them wrong side out, turned them right side in, and then pinned the latch through the hole in my quiet book cover. I used ...

The Imagination Station: The Car Caddy
http://sarahscreativebrain.blogspot.com/2012/05/car-caddy.html
Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Have you seen those crayon caddies that people make? Were there is a slot for every crayon and then they roll up? Well I saw on pinterest a very similar thing called a Car Caddy and I made one for my son and my nephew. (The one for my nephew is in progress :) But they are suppose to be like travel car mats- you know those huge mats that you put on the floor and your kid can run their cars over the fabric roads? I don't know what the actual name of it is.). Are you seeing how its ...

The Imagination Station: Quiet Book May
http://sarahscreativebrain.blogspot.com/2012/05/quiet-book-may.html
Saturday, May 5, 2012. I love the quote, April Showers Brings May Flowers, so that's what I did for my May page. Kind of girlie I know when you think about the fact that this quiet book is for my little son- but he (and my hubby :) will get over it :) Its okay for boys to like flowers. The flowers fit inside of the little pots, whose top edge is not sewn down that way they work like pockets. So the flowers can GROW out of the pots. And button into place on the page! And that flowers are Rad. Holiday brea...

The Imagination Station: Quiet Book December and Back Page
http://sarahscreativebrain.blogspot.com/2012/05/quiet-book-december-and-back-page.html
Saturday, May 12, 2012. Quiet Book December and Back Page. Its an easy triangle Christmas tree with snap on and off ornaments! And a few that are sewn on.) I wanted my son to be able to rearrange the ornaments so I didn't put an identical shape behind- but if you wanted it to be a matching activity you could certainly do that as well. And because I so desperately wanted October to be a two page spread, I was left with an open page so I made a simple little pocket. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Imagination Station: Quiet Book September
http://sarahscreativebrain.blogspot.com/2012/05/quiet-book-september.html
Wednesday, May 9, 2012. On a church quiet book site, I saw an idea where they had the child "build" a temple. Super cute. So I used the same idea for a school! This was hands down the easiest page. Squares and Velcro. I sewed on the doors and the little bell at the top to give my son a sort of guide as to where the blocks should go. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Imagination Station: Quiet Book October
http://sarahscreativebrain.blogspot.com/2012/05/quiet-book-october.html
Thursday, May 10, 2012. My last two page spread- and all my own idea :). I made a Halloween scene with little finger puppets that could go trick or treating at the doors :) I made the puppets in "boyish" costumes (aka no princess) because I have a son, but really, do whatever you like :). The road at the bottom is actually a pocket where you can store the puppets, held in place and separated by the yellow street lines. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Imagination Station: Quiet Book November
http://sarahscreativebrain.blogspot.com/2012/05/quiet-book-november.html
Friday, May 11, 2012. The turkeys feathers attach on and off with buttons, so my son can match the colors, and also learn to button. Two skills in one! I wish I had a template to share with you on this one, but I really just made up my turkey from a big oval (body), small oval (head), big triangle (neck), small triangle (beak.). The Imagination Station: Quiet Book April
http://sarahscreativebrain.blogspot.com/2012/05/quiet-book-april.html
Friday, May 4, 2012. Cant forget about Easter which is what THIS page was suppose to be about :). And for the task? I saw a quiet book where you wove a towel of babel and thought it was cute and I thought weaving an Easter basket was more genius :). Super easy to do- first I appliqued on the eggs and grass and such (use any extras you like) Then I cute out two big square pieces of felt, the same size and set the lighter one on bottom and sewed the LEFT SIDE ONLY.
