Our Foster Care Journey. Our Foster Care Journey. 5/12/11- Made the decision to begin pursuing our fostering license. With the goal of having children in our home after Addilece turns three. 7/16/11- Met and fell in love with D and D. God used this to speak to our hearts about our time line for Foster Care. Called DCFS a few weeks later to officially start the project. 9/8/11- Meeting with DCFS Licensing Worker. 10/4/11 to 11/29/11- PRIDE classes.3 hours every Tuesday. Licensed for 3 children ages 0 to 10.
