Tuesday, November 21, 2006. But democracy is for fools, given the choice the people would again choose the murderer Barabbas. Also playing at the show were Princess One Point Five and Registered Nurse. Princess One Point Five treated us to a warm set of well crafted pop songs. Posted by James at 1:21 AM. Thursday, August 31, 2006. It seems as if the headline of the night show was Dane Certificate. This probably (though I’ll never really know) wasn’t justified. He was just a man, with a guitar and a bass drum. What could he do with it, you may well ask. Well, as you would expect. I decided to leave after the second song. Posted by James at 8:21 PM. April March: September 2006

Monday, September 18, 2006. Just look at the bands they’ve got playing this year;. Datarock Norwegian new rave according to wikipedia no doubt a pseudonym for old rave just with more street credibility. Midlake Completely unobjectionable indie rock. Augie March I heard a song of theirs on Nova so I guess they’re cool. The Soundtrack of Our Lives This band just, actually sucks. The Bamboos No ones listened to funk music since the early eighties. Tapes and Tapes More generic indie prattle. I’m supposed to ...

No time for posers. Sunday, November 27, 2005. For the first time in my PhD, I am in at uni on a Sunday to do work. It took 7 months, but here I am. Obviously not something I want to make a habbit of, but another deadline is looming, and the weather is pretty crap anyway. This is the base drive system of the robot. Obviously other stuff goes on top of this. The robot has been designed and built by Luke Cole. Who is involved in a number of robotics projects for ANU, CSIRO among other personal projects.

All binge and no purge. Tuesday, September 20, 2005. Another helping of ersatz-comedic twaddle. (Ersatz-Comedic Twaddle. That's a cool name for a band*! Yesterday, Svetlana and I were having coffee and cake in Pellegrini's and spying on the more attractive clientele by using the mirrors that are affixed to every wall in the shop (when there's that many reflective surfaces in a place it's a crime. In which he appears as. Recently, Svetlana and I have become like Trent and Jesse from. And repeat to infinity.

Quasi Boho Alterna-Whatnot: May 2005
http://quasibohoalterna-whatnot.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
All binge and no purge. Tuesday, May 10, 2005. Another look into the creepy inner workings of my soul. It's been a while, I know, but I'm going to be far more diligent in future with the blog. Just like I am diligent about my schoolwork, keeping in contact with my friends who aren't at uni, and continuing with my regime of regular exercise.or not. Don't call in SVU, (thus causing Benson and Stabler to throw me under the hot lights before I can count to three! Because this crush does. Stumbled across on t...

All binge and no purge. Sunday, May 06, 2007. You would cry, too, if it happened to you. It was my birthday last Monday and I turned 22. I didn't think it was a biggie until I realised that I'm not a fun novelty age anymore. I'm no longer 21, a year that for me was the. Of adulthood; a kind of maturity hermetically-sealed from the outside world (though hopefully that doesn't make me Pauly Shore). The upshot of it all is that my summer of '69 is. A definite indication of oldness. 3 The Saturday night befo...

Quasi Boho Alterna-Whatnot: February 2005
http://quasibohoalterna-whatnot.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html
All binge and no purge. Sunday, February 27, 2005. Damned Liberal Party meat goods. They sat on the grill seeming innocent enough and in fact rather delicious looking as they sizzled away in their own fat. But these were no ordinary sausages. No, these sausages were forged by Satan's very hand. They were. CONSERVATIVE SAUSAGES! Anyway, the point is that later that evening I had stomach pains. Coincidence? Me: "Hey, have you got anymore of those bumper stickers? I wouldn't want to. Him: "Because we get a ...

And other reasons I haven't posted in ages. All binge and no purge. Monday, March 12, 2007. I Stole Ashton Kutcher's Hair! And other reasons I haven't posted in ages. So, where have I been? Well, let's just say that my 4 month (! Absence more or less proves a contention of mine from an old post that blogging is one of the ways I sublimate my sexual energy. Never stood a chance. The author looking grouchy, confused and pallid; the terrible effects of spending her uni holidays away from blogging. Of course...
