We were diagnosed only four months apart. Between the two of us we've had 54 chemo treatments, 10 rounds of radiation and 11 surgeries. At this point we are both cancer free. I am really looking forward to being completely done with reconstruction. My mom is here in New Orleans with me. We had some time today to venture out. Dena's Breast Cancer Journey. Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Merry Christmas and Happy New Noobs. I'm very happy with my "noobs". The girls are lookin' good and everything has healed well. The doctor offered to do a minor scar revision and some additional shaping on the right side. It's a new year with a new deductible, so I've just started the process to schedule stage three. He says it doesn't hurt, unless he bends over and that's when all the blood rushes to his eye, he says it feels like his eye is going to EXPLODE. He did attend his last day of T-bird football camp though, the coaches were anxiously awaiting his arrival to see how bad the eye was.to their surprise I think it was a lot worse then they expected! Boys will be boys!
