Snavely Speaks: Snavely has returned...

Friday, July 2, 2010. And you can take that to the bank. The dime, that is. During our "deposit activity" each week, we learned about people like Benjamin Franklin ("A penny saved is a penny earned."). I also began to understand better Uncle Scrooge, Donald Duck's stingy uncle. Maybe Snavely's got an answer for this dilemna. If so, he could probably sell it for a lot of money and mabe put part of it into a savings account. I guess we'll see. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Denny and Phyllis Home.

Snavely Speaks: April 2008
http://snavely-on-the-web.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 7, 2008. Traveling with the crowd. Warning to those who have never ridden a chicken bus: When loading, the driver watches the foot of the last person boarding. When that last foot separates by only millimeters from the pavement, the accelerator pedal goes to the medal. Unless you are holding on firmly, the acceleration slams you down the aisle for at least 10 seats, sometimes on top of other passengers. But they're used to it.). Holding my crushed trophy! Snavely Speaks: April 2011
http://snavely-on-the-web.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 20, 2011. There’s been way too much space between the last post and this one. For that Snavely and I apologize. Part of the issue is that we have not followed the advice of A.W. Tozer that we posted in the last missive. We’ve been busy “doing” with very little time “being.”. I’m not sure whether it falls under “doing” or “being,” but I love to read…and to share what I’m reading with others. And the battery lasts up to 30 days. And Father helps me with the absorbing and experiencing ̵...

Snavely Speaks: October 2007
http://snavely-on-the-web.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 9, 2007. This week I was taking a closer look at some of the plants in our garden - our yard. I noticed that some of the blooms had insects on them, munching their way through the petals. I figured they'd shortly consume all the blossoms on the plant. What I didn't realize is that the plant would sprout blossoms faster than the bugs could eat them. Amazing! Wednesday, October 3, 2007. I considered proposing a breath tax to the city council, to try to cut down on all the unnecessary breat...

I can't believe it's been nearly two months since I last posted.but then, I'm the only one who reads this thing, and I've been too busy to do that, so it really doesn't matter I guess. Snavely Speaks: The Old Paths...
http://snavely-on-the-web.blogspot.com/2010/07/old-paths.html
Sunday, July 4, 2010. I liked the old paths, when Moms were at home. Dads were at work. Brothers went into the army. And sisters got married BEFORE having children! Crime did not pay;. Hard work did;. And people knew the difference. Moms could cook;. Dads would work;. Husbands were loving;. Wives were supportive;. And children were polite. Women wore the jewelry;. And Men wore the pants. Women looked like ladies;. Men looked like gentlemen;. And children looked decent. People loved the truth,.
