I came across Udink’s trip report. Once we crested the hill, I knew the writings were somewhere in the valley. So we started scanning the cliffs and was able to spot the Ekker Panel. It was a neat panel with some faded pictographs and a few petroglyphs. Once in Old Woman Wash, I was able to spot another panel, High Alcove.

Lake Powell – Stanton Creek. August 12, 2015. Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Camp after arriving and setting up. The dogs explore their new surroundings while Bradley picks up trash from a very trashy campsite. In the evening I grilled some dinner and then the sun made a dazzling appearance just before disappearing behind the horizon. While my family and I sat on the shore enjoying the light show to the west we almost missed another show behind us–a bright double rainbow! Colorful, stormy sunset.
