Still (a) woman after all these kids. Thursday, May 27, 2010. Fill in the following. Tag 4 friends to do the same. Riding a goldfish under a rainbow. My funniest experience with a pet. My parrot swore at my mother-in-law. My funniest experience at a job interview. Dude came in with his shirt on backwards! 100 cockroaches (don't ask). My funniest experience in high school. High school wasn't funny! My funniest cooking experience. The funniest thing I ever said to anyone. Was that MEANT to be a hat? As goo...

Despite Motherhood: Chemo Graduation

http://despitemotherhood.blogspot.com/2012/06/chemo-graduation.html

Still (a) woman after all these kids. Monday, June 18, 2012. OK, so I'm far not-at-all-happy that my friend had to go through this, but I am very happy that my friend's last chemo treatment is this week - and I'm hoping that what this means is that from now she's going to start feeling better and stronger every day. As always, I tried to think of a way to celebrate the occasion - so I designed a t-shirt to give her. Wishing everyone good health and good friends. June 21, 2012 at 3:55 PM. November 21, 2012.

Despite Motherhood: December 2009

http://despitemotherhood.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Still (a) woman after all these kids. Monday, December 7, 2009. I'd like to thank. Anyway, I've got a whole bunch of ideas that I'm trying to develop - one's a spin-off site of fertilitystories. Do I have a thing about long mushed-up names? For this one, I bought the domain OverseasJoe, which for some odd reason I think is hilarious.) and it's actually starting to get some traffic. I'm also an affiliate of Book Depository. And then we hosted a "Bayit cham" where 4 kids from the preschool come over in the...

Despite Motherhood: November 2011

http://despitemotherhood.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Still (a) woman after all these kids. Wednesday, November 23, 2011. In case you were wondering, my kids are average. You know those parents who are always bragging about their kids’ amazing achievements? He really *can* tell them apart. And he’ll continue pestering you until he gets it. Yes, I really once said that to someone when I wasn’t paying attention. No, her father’s not Japanese, his parents were from Algeria – and I’m absolutely positive that I know who her father is. Much ado about nothing | What to Expect When You're Not Expecting

https://whattoexpect.wordpress.com/2008/08/26/much-ado-about-nothing

What to Expect When You’re Not Expecting. Our journey through infertility from diagnosis to treatment … and hopefully success. About What to Expect and Kirby. Extra innings →. Much ado about nothing. August 26, 2008. And today, just for fun, we had a little scare. At 7 am, I woke up desperately needing to use the bathroom, but again, without the movement. I stayed up for a couple hours and had some homemade chai tea with milk and sugar, hoping to spur her into action. I panicked a little. And, as I a...

Finding more green in cloth diapers | Children Mentioned

https://childrenmentioned.wordpress.com/2009/02/11/finding-more-green-in-cloth-diapers

Life with a baby – and infertility. Finding more green in cloth diapers. Contrary to what you might expect, this post isn’t a commentary on Abby’s new iron supplements. I wasn’t sure what we would be doing when Abby started solids. Things change a bit in the diapers when that happens – if you’ve been there, you know what I mean. If you haven’t gotten there yet … well … consider breastfeeding exclusively a bit longer.😉. All this going green got me to thinking about the disposable products I was using as ...

Our progress: Let me show you it | Children Mentioned

https://childrenmentioned.wordpress.com/2009/02/06/our-progress-let-me-show-you-it

Life with a baby – and infertility. Our progress: Let me show you it. So I’m behind on posts and it’s bedtime (for the Mama) so I’ll try and make this short. Where I left off, Abby was falling asleep in her crib. Tuesday night, Abby had her dreamfeed and went back to sleep. She slept until 1:45 or so again, woke up, nursed and went back to bed (prolly with the paci – can’t remember). A good thing, that. Abby slept until 4:30 am. Tips from the trenches | Children Mentioned

https://childrenmentioned.wordpress.com/2009/02/09/tips-from-the-trenches

Life with a baby – and infertility. Tips from the trenches. A friend in the U.S. who just had a little one emailed me this week. So glad to hear from her! For sore nipples (which I had way later than expected, since we were all nipple shields all the time in the beginning), I took a three-pronged approach. First, lanolin or Dr. Newman’s cream. Second, air time: keep them dry and not in contact with anything (I highly recommend these. And now, dear readers, what are your best tips? From your own site.

Pulling the plug | Children Mentioned

https://childrenmentioned.wordpress.com/2009/02/06/pulling-the-plug

Life with a baby – and infertility. Two posts today: Read below first if you’re following the sleeping saga.🙂. After much success with Abby falling asleep in her crib (albeit, with some attention from us and a Mama or Abba within reach – our reach, not hers) with her pacifier, we thought we might try to tackle another goal on our sleep training list. But lately, it’s been every 45 minutes. All night long. That’s no good for us or a baby. This entry was posted on Friday, February 6th, 2009 at 12:39 am an...

About last night | Children Mentioned

https://childrenmentioned.wordpress.com/2009/02/10/about-last-night

Life with a baby – and infertility. Yesterday, Abby didn’t nap so well during the day. It’s clear the naps are going to be a challenge for a while yet. But. Jeremy put her in her crib last night at 8 pm I didn’t give her a dream feed – for no good reason other than I was too busy with work and never thought she would get through the whole night anyway. Almost 11 hours straight. Amazingly, 12 hours doesn’t seem so farfetched right now.😉. You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0.

So far, not so bad | Children Mentioned

https://childrenmentioned.wordpress.com/2009/02/03/so-far-not-so-bad

Life with a baby – and infertility. So far, not so bad. I’m going to try and post 28 times in February. Wish me luck.😉. We last left off on Sunday night. Here’s how that went. Abby went to sleep at 9 pm She was completely silent until 10:30 pm and nursed, beating us to our scheduled dream feed at 11 pm She was awake when I put her back in the crib and promptly fell asleep. She slept until 7 am (yay! She was in the tub by 6 pm She had a lovely bath and gnawed on her toes for awhile (10 more nails she can...

Milestones aplenty | Children Mentioned

https://childrenmentioned.wordpress.com/2009/02/11/milestones-aplenty

Life with a baby – and infertility. Another double post day! Check below for an update on cloth diapering. Today, Abby rolled over from her stomach to her back. Three times in a row! Which would be one time too few for me to catch it on camera.😦. It was getting matted and stuck in the snaps of her little shirts. She still looks very cute and is patient while I put her kuku in every morning. I’m very glad she can do this herself. The gift of sleep is a great thing a parent can give a child. February 13, ...

Still (a) woman after all these kids. Thursday, March 7, 2013. Spinal injury just sounds BAD. I'm keeping my elbows extended* that this will work and everything will be back to normal soon. Right now, it's sort of scary. The exercise I'm doing requires extending the elbows. Monday, June 18, 2012. And since I got good feedback about my design, I'm posting it here so that anyone who wants to use it for any good purpose is welcome to (click on it to see it full size).
