http://legsformiles.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
The absolute joy of self propulsion . Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Well Yesterday was New Year and today, January is nearly gone. Atleast thats what it feels like to me - this month has just gone whizzing by. And I sure do hope that the start i have had for 2013 is a sign of things to come for the rest of the year. Just remembered . on one of those rare occasions that i was running on a treadmill, last Monday, in a hotel in Osaka, i crossed 5000 kms in career mileage . yippeee! Links to this post. 2 Run va...

The absolute joy of self propulsion . Monday, September 10, 2012. Army Half Marathon 2012: Race Review. I ran the AHM in 1:57:12. Its definitely not the time i was shooting for (which was 1:50-1:52) and i am actually ruing the lost opportunity because the weather was really outstanding. Yet, i dont feel too bad about the outcome for a few reasons and am motivated to improve upon this significantly in the days to come. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The absolute joy of self propulsion .....: February 2011
http://legsformiles.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
The absolute joy of self propulsion . Saturday, February 12, 2011. From how the run shaped up, to how it finally played out, i am really pleased with this. 2011 has been off to a better start than 2010 and i only hope that this continues for the rest of the year. I think i have a legitimate hope now for running a 4:40-4:45ish at Tokyo - whether or not that happens is a different proposition altogether. Links to this post. Tuesday, February 8, 2011. The absolute joy of self propulsion .....: August 2011
http://legsformiles.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
The absolute joy of self propulsion . Friday, August 19, 2011. Happy week this . This week has worked out rather well for me . i was quite eager, at the start of the week, to allay my fears that cutting back on mileage the previous week (as was my plan) would prove to be beneficial and not adversely affect my fitness. I am quite happy with the way things turned out . Weekly mileage: 66kms. Rounds up a pretty good effort. Next week should be similar and then i will back off, as part of taper to ru...Yeste...

The absolute joy of self propulsion . Monday, May 30, 2011. Sundown Half Marathon Race Review. It was a splendid race for me - i set a target which i thought was a tough but realistic one, and managed to hit it (for most part atleast). I also know that if i can keep my training consistent and not get injured, i will be able to run faster and longer. Which is the whole point of my running anyway. :). Links to this post. You can't have everything, where would you keep it? Monday, November 09, 2009. Another of the Neil. This one features, among other things, turning 50, having no regrets, his scariest flight (involving Dave McKean and the Black Orchid art), the enthusiasm of Filipino fans, Singapore, the Singaporean snack called 'Stuffed Author', on translating stories across media, the Sandman play, bad adaptations, and the script of Coraline. You can't have everything, where would you keep it? Thursday, September 03, 2009. With it's own unique breed of WTFness. Just when you were getting all WTFed by the Japs and Singaporeans. Here you go, far-out swordplay, if I can call it that. Of course, it had to be Mithunda, didn't it? If Mithunda doesn't rock, I don't know who does. Is what that word means. Links to this post. You can't have everything, where would you keep it? Tuesday, May 26, 2009. For this extremely useful post on Girish Shahane's blog. It's on travel to Iran. And is an useful primer. You might want to take a closer look at his blog for his detailed entries on his trip. It also answered the berry pulao question I'd had in my mind for a while now. Links to this post. This year is the 40th edition, and here's some of the stuff from there. Here's the clip of Johhny Depp's surprise appearance with Tim Burton - watch the crowd go crazy. And here's a Time magazine slide show. Links to this post. Tuesday, July 21, 2009. I had no idea how many people would join in - impressive smoothness, this. Links to this post. You can't have everything, where would you keep it? Friday, August 20, 2010. After ages. Because I found three mindblowing covers of Lady Gaga songs. I'm not her biggest fan, though I'll admit she's quite the marketing miracle. Here you go, three covers, by Christopher Walken, geek musician Brett Domino and youtube superstars Pomplamoose, whom I'm a big fan of. I love the Oh-Ah-Oh-Uh parts in Walken's reading of Poker Face. I discovered this one, Brett Domino, on Mental Floss. These guys are skilled!
