Reflections of The Hendo. Meanderings of a forty-something hack. Saturday, November 02, 2013. You have to winnow through the chaff. Is the exercise worth it? For me it is, but then I have a personal stake, as so many of us do from that time and that part of the world. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). London, United Kingdom. View my complete profile. Reflections of The Hendo: May 2012
http://hendoman.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Reflections of The Hendo. Meanderings of a forty-something hack. Sunday, May 27, 2012. Reports of the Asparagus shortage are exaggerated. The warm weather begged for Rose and we had the last two bottles of Vinas Del Vero in the place. The party was Ms T with whom I shared ribs and a tasty octopus salad, and Helen who's a long standing veggie. She went for creamy Croqetas, tasty aubergine slices and seared tuna, which was done rare, which is how I like it. Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Monday, May 14, 2012.

Reflections of The Hendo: October 2010
http://hendoman.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Reflections of The Hendo. Meanderings of a forty-something hack. Saturday, October 16, 2010. And taking the long view means arguments about 'widget handling' look what they are: meaningless. As a better alternative, since it allows muti tabbing and boasts all sorts of options Safari does not have. As usual with Apple I'm left wondering what might have been. It would have been nice to have an SD card insert, for example, and bluetoothing data around does not seem to be allowed. But the other quest...Tired...

Reflections of The Hendo: September 2010
http://hendoman.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Reflections of The Hendo. Meanderings of a forty-something hack. Sunday, September 19, 2010. I tend to paddle rather than swim in the sea of networking so this post will just cover the couple of things I do regularly, ie using Twitter to alert the public to the latest doings of my cat and messing about on Facebook, the monster which has replaced e-mail and other 'traditional' things we used to do on the internet to a great degree. And it retails off the store for 59p. Is by contrast not very terrific and...

Reflections of The Hendo: February 2011
http://hendoman.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Reflections of The Hendo. Meanderings of a forty-something hack. Wednesday, February 16, 2011. There was an unmistakable air of self confidence about Larry as he was unloaded by his handlers. The photographs of him on the stairs show a cat with a degree of chutzpah. Not to mention his pre-emptive strike. On ITV News correspondent Lucy Manning. But there are things the Camerons should know about their new friend. But secondly, should Larry feel an urge to make a living and actually nail a couple of rats t...

Reflections of The Hendo: July 2011
http://hendoman.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Reflections of The Hendo. Meanderings of a forty-something hack. Friday, July 29, 2011. Used to say that no story lasted for more than forty eight hours. I don't know what he thinks of the phone hacking saga's marathon stay at the top of TV running orders but plainly we're in for the long haul, as the judicial inquiries play out in parallel with the two police probes - and whatever criminal proceedings come out of them. And his deputy Ian Katz. Is also useful, Patrick Wintour. And reporter Josh Halliday.

Reflections of The Hendo: April 2012
http://hendoman.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Reflections of The Hendo. Meanderings of a forty-something hack. Sunday, April 22, 2012. Here is my advice, and it's published here on the basis that I fully accept its subjectivity. I've missed out Downton, The Wire, and the Mad Men type of offering - they're mainstream and everyone knows they're great. I'm trying to ski a bit off-piste. Humour me. So that's my list for my TV-exiled mates. I've missed out contenders like Breaking Bad, which is stunning, but I'm going for range here. Thoughts? Tired hack...

Reflections of The Hendo: January 2011
http://hendoman.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Reflections of The Hendo. Meanderings of a forty-something hack. Friday, January 21, 2011. I've started driving to work a bit more often since I'm generally starting at 6 in the morning while I'm with BBC News online. London roads are probably as quiet as they ever are at that time, but while no marvel behind the wheel myself I do wonder about some of my fellow drivers. This morning I saw one with a dog on his lap. At the next lights I saw another reading the paper (it was the Times, since you ask).

Reflections of The Hendo: August 2012
http://hendoman.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Reflections of The Hendo. Meanderings of a forty-something hack. Sunday, August 26, 2012. Neil Armstrong, 1930 – 2012. Modern methods of news delivery are rough on the sensibilities. At around eightish last night a notification surfaced on my iPhone from the NYT app; At 82, Neil Armstrong, first man on the moon, dead. Then that odd sense of personal loss when the death occurs of someone who you didn't really know, had never met, but very much admired. Lying flat on its side like a stricken white dinosaur...

Reflections of The Hendo: December 2010
http://hendoman.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Reflections of The Hendo. Meanderings of a forty-something hack. Friday, December 31, 2010. Sixteen to Follow In 2011. I have many personal favourite tweeters and I'm risking causing offence by missing lots of friends out but this blogpost is really for the perplexed mates at work who say: I've got a twitter account, but now what? The now what is these sixteen people. They're a start and they lead to lots of other brilliant folk who make twitter the super thing it is these days. Both write about technolo...
