Il dolce far niente. Thursday, January 13, 2011. My parents came to visit! Albeit it was a month ago, but it was still very exciting! Only Caroline had an umbrella and my dad had a hood, so my mom and I were SOL. The walk was a good 20-25 minutes so we were absolutely soaked when we got back to our hotel, but nothing could have brought me down from my high of being with my parents! Before it started raining. Ha) so he wanted some things authentically from Italy and my mom would take any excuse to shop!

When you have the pleasure of traveling with your parents, you get to enjoy a lot of things you wouldn't normally be able to as a poor twenty-something. My parents were excited to have unique experiences while they were here with me and I was happy to be apart of them - though obviously I was just happy they were here at all! Il dolce far niente. Sunday, August 29, 2010. Since this is my first post on my first blog ever I'm not really sure how to start, but I guess I'll just start from the beginning! I'm headed to Florence to brush up on my italian, travel, and live la dolce vita before I have to come back to the real world and focus on what I. Want to do with my life. The only big decisions I will have to worry about in Italy is whether to have carbonara or pizza diavola for dinner.tough choice! I guess that's it for now!

July 28, 2016. Questi ultimi 3 giorni sono stati decisamente i più difficili da affrontare da quando sono arrivata. Le settimane passate ho avuto 2 o 3 momenti di debolezza: la tristezza mi assaliva e cercavo di controllarla, fino a quando non entravo in camera mia, dove potevo chiamare la mamma (e una volta pure quel poveraccio di Lorenzo XD) e scoppiare in un pianto a dirotto.
