This Thanksgiving brought special meaning because I was able make pies with my mom and her mom we had 3 Generations of pie making going on my Grandma at 92 could still whip out the recipe from memory for her fabulous Pineapple Apple Sauce Pie Yummy. Making the cute designs in the pie crust top. Rolling out the Dough yes that their cup is my Holy Water aka Diet Coke. Pineapple Apple Sauce Pie -Yummy. My Grandma is quite the Spitfire I now know where.

Wednesday, December 17, 2008. For Deserase's Young Women's in Excellence Project I helped her make a blanket she was so excited to work on her project. She edged a blanket I cut the strips just as you would if you were going to knot the edges of the blanket but instead I made slits in each strip and folded it over and Desi would push the end through the slit she was so proud of herself. Cutting the strips and then cutting slits in them. Desi doesn't have very good finger strength so we used her thumb.

Thanksgiving is a busy time with Christmas right around the corner and making all the food and of course the pies but it is always nice to have a holiday set aside to give thanks for all the wonderful blessing we receive through out the year. Christopher and Cousin Larissa going back for seconds. Scotty doesn't think any food is complete without Ketchup. Benne is proudly showing off his Potato Mash. you better eat all of those Benne.
