digging up the dirt

Digging up the dirt. Wednesday, 19 February 2014. Millions of peaches.Peaches for free. I was recently given a gift of peaches and plums from a friend who's daughter lives in Bathurst. Going on the size of this box alone you can just imagine how big the trees must have been. The peaches were white cling stone with amazing flavour. If only they were slip stones they could have been even better. The plums were mostly just eaten with a few stewed. Plum and peach crumble. Peach and almond cake. Anyhoo I thou...

digging up the dirt: Time for some serious work in the garden

http://www.diggingupthedirt.blogspot.com/2014/01/time-for-some-serious-work-in-garden.html

Digging up the dirt. Sunday, 12 January 2014. Time for some serious work in the garden. You know how it is when you spend your days looking after other people's gardens you don't always want to look at your own. In fact I look down at the ground to avoid the shame of what is really going on in the garden. But some of the vegies are almost finished such as. The last of the summer corn. And things are in desperate need of assistance. At least the chilli is loving the heat. Digging up the dirt. Glut: a year...

digging up the dirt: June 2013

http://www.diggingupthedirt.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Digging up the dirt. Friday, 21 June 2013. Airports are strange places. There is always someone in a hurry to get from one place to the next. Those who leave it to the last moment in a blind panic that they can't get to the next place because they have to wait to be processed before moving on. Or worse get to the boarding gate to find they missed their flight and then jump up and down creating a scene. They are sterile and clean, polished and shiny, loud and cavernous but mostly grey! Digging up the dirt.

digging up the dirt: August 2013

http://www.diggingupthedirt.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Digging up the dirt. Monday, 19 August 2013. I have been really slack. I have even had a number of subjects to write about but you know how it is when you are on holidays. The mind and body relaxes and anything that belongs to routine goes out the window. Needless to say the trip to Europe and the UK were fantastic, great weather, gorgeous friends, lots of laughs and beautiful scenery. From the front door. I think there is no coming back for the poor thing that has been growing for 5 years. So now the tr...

Digging up the dirt. Tuesday, 28 May 2013. Well there is a new Australian our household. Mr R (born in Zimbabwe) has sat for the citizenship exam etc after 10 years he completed the citizen ceremony a few weeks back. If you haven't been to one of these ceremony they are quite sweet. Digging Up the Ancient. Thursday, August 15, 2013. Week Six and Post-Season. Sunday, August 4th. Monday, August 5th. The entire day is spent working on straightening this section in 169.
