Diggin' up Dead People. Week 42: Proud: Alice Weatherhead. Well, this prompt for the 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks challenge was a bit easier for me to write, if only because I am proud of the work I’ve been able to do to uncover so many ancestors! Alice Weatherhead was born on 9 Sept 1856, daughter of George Weatherhead and Frances Cumberpatch. She was baptized on 30 Jan 1859. Ancestry.com, Lon...

Diggin' up Dead People. Laquo; John P Hall. How many ancestors can I name? On February 21, 2016. I’d like to credit Cathy Meder-Dempsey’s post, “My Ancestor Score as of Valentine’s Day 2016” at her blog Opening Doors in Brick Walls as the inspiration for my finding my Ancestor Score. And how far back in time is that? On average, there are 3-4 generations per century, so 10 generations is between about 250-330 years! Me- Yup I know this one, LOL. I was doing really well up through my great grandparents!

Love Bob | Postcards from the Past….
Postcards from the Past…. April 15, 2014. 14 Elm Street Corning. Dear Mother and Dad,. Rome – and your very wonderful letter waiting for us – the infernal city, because it is incredibly hot. The drive down from Florence was like crossing a desert. The countryside is parched, and looks miserably unproductive. We walked about through the Romas ruins, an amazing spectacle, and would have lingered longer had the heat not driven us back to our hotel. Love, Bob and Barb. Bob’s Travel Map.
