I had forgotten how to make them, but I found THIS. Tutorial. I had the kids use little scissors to make their own little shapes after I had already folded it. Friday, May 29, 2009. One of Hayden's "chores" for the day is to practice his handwriting. I looked for a few ways to make this fun for him and I came up with a few good ideas. The first idea came when we were playing one of my all time favorite games- " Scattergories. Inside the game there is a die with the letters of the alphabet on it. Saturday, December 5, 2009. Wednesday night we made snowflakes out of paper to tape to our front window. I had forgotten how to make them, but I found THIS. Tutorial. I had the kids use little scissors to make their own little shapes after I had already folded it. It was almost like opening a Christmas present when you unwrapped the paper! Every snowflake was different. Which made for a great conversation on being unique. Plus- This is one decoration I won't have to take down in 3 weeks!

Thursday, June 25, 2009. If you need a fun summer game that is great for all ages, this one is for you! We played this at a family reunion on my side of the family, and it was great. So great, in fact, that when we were asked to do an activity for the family reunion on my husband's side, we knew just the thing. We called it "HooDoo" after driving to Bryce Canyon. The Mertz Family Happenings. Sunday, September 19, 2010. Driving by the mall one day Noelle and I spotted a humongous school bus. She just had to get closer to take another look and when we did we saw that for a small donation you could take a ride on this Monster School Bus! So, a few days later we returned with Daddy, Thomas, and The Semillo’s to take a ride. The ride was a little rough and I think all the kids were holding on for dear life with white knuckles but fun was had by all!
