AT HOME AROUND THE WORLD: Day One and Two
http://athomearoundtheworld.blogspot.com/2010/09/day-one-and-two.html
AT HOME AROUND THE WORLD. My life and times. Family, travel, food and friends. I relish being each of the following: Wife, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Step-mother, Niece, Granddaughter, Cousin, Friend. I have the good fortune of being able to accompany my husband when he travels for work. We also take every opportunity to travel together for leisure, just the two of us and some times with friends. A View From The Kitchen. Breads My Way: Satisfying the Craving. Fun Playing With Food. The Cage Free Tomato.

Eleven Madison Park | Jasoneats
https://jasoneats.wordpress.com/2010/10/31/eleven-madison-park
This time, with intent. The final piece of my birthday celebration took place this past week. A brief trip to New York City to visit a very dear friend included a few casual and delicious meals, as well as one superb dinner experience at Eleven Madison Park. The room is the vaulted lobby of the Metropolitan Life North Building. Ordering was our next task. (Somewhere in here, a square dish of the most ethereal. Ever appeared and we made quick work of those! Now the the starters were out of the way, we cou...

Amazing Peace | Jasoneats
https://jasoneats.wordpress.com/2010/12/25/amazing-peace
This time, with intent. This poem by Maya Angelou was one of the readings at our Candlelight Service last night. With it, I wish the world Peace for Christmas. Amazing Peace: A Christmas Poem. Thunder rumbles in the mountain passes. And lightning rattles the eaves of our houses. Flood waters await us in our avenues. Snow falls upon snow, falls upon snow to avalanche. The sky slips low and grey and threatening. What have we done to so affront nature? Are you there really? Come the way of friendship. It is...

One Old, One New | Jasoneats
https://jasoneats.wordpress.com/2010/12/04/one-old-one-new
This time, with intent. One Old, One New. Yesterday involved two different holiday meals, one at the long established Johnny’s Bar. On Fulton, the other at the newly opened Market. In Rocky River. Both of them shared some positive qualities: attractive settings, attentive service and good company. Yet somehow they were very different experiences. Seem out of place in this setting. With some entrees pushing the $24 mark, and even the sandwiches all riding at $11 to $14, the pricing is high. Our en...Aside...

December 20, 2012 by Ben 0. The inside of the restaurant is well-decorated, warm, upscale and inviting with plenty of gold hues, high ceilings and a large open window to the kitchen. We ordered the Deviled Eggs ($7) for mine and Jonathan’s appetizer (Sarah doesn’t like boiled eggs). They were excellent creamy with just the right amount of mustard and Jonathan filled up on them. Half of the eggs had a piece of smoked salmon on top, which added a nice flavor counterpoint. October 28, 2012 by Ben 3. We star...

Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Eats. Adventures in dining Cleveland style. Fire Food and Drink. If you ask me who my favorite chef in Cleveland is I will answer “Doug Katz” without hesitation. I have loved everything I have ever eaten at any of his restaurants, but his flagship restaurant Fire Food and Drink holds a special place in my heart. It is one of my favorite places for brunch. In Cleveland – both inside as well as on the patio watching the world go by. But he also. The photo above was my favorite co...

Slyman’s Restaurant | Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Eats

Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Eats. Adventures in dining Cleveland style. Is there anything more quintessentially Cleveland than Slyman’s? Would you believe that I (a native Clevelander) had never been here until a couple months ago? Dining in line, with downtown workers grabbing their food to go eat at their desks. The place is tiny and cramped, but service is exceptionally quick. They have their service down to a science – a very efficient science. On my second visit I was craving a Tuna Melt. I had h...

Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Eats. Adventures in dining Cleveland style. Viking Range/Cooking at Legacy Village is going out of business at the end of the month. April 3, 2012. Posted by Jill (@bonnjill). Southern Cookin’ class at Viking Cooking School. March 19, 2012. So I was only five minutes late. I had missed the introductions, but quickly grabbed a seat next to my friend A., put on my apron, grabbed a sweet tea and took a deep breath (not necessarily in that order). Washed and chopped the greens, add...
