A Mess of Morelands: March 2009
http://blessedbeyondmyimagination.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 28, 2009. Crazy things you see on the Riverwalk. We've lived here in the San Antonio area for about eight months now, and I've now been to the Riverwalk all of three times. We went once with some out-of-town guests and once with Andy's parents at Christmas to see the lights. When we arrived at our destination (note to self: the Westin Hotel is different from the Weston Centre), there was a little Latin man in a fedora and white suit coat crooning jazz. Another photo op missed. Friday, Mar...

A Mess of Morelands: May 2014
http://blessedbeyondmyimagination.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 23, 2014. So last night, when my son was skipped in the batting order and it was brought to your attention, you had a choice to make. I believe that it is in these little moments that we show our true character. You showed yourself to be a gentleman. Thank you. Thank you for teaching my boy that being a gentleman has a place on the ball field. It may not seem like a big deal to you, but for me, it was a bright moment in an otherwise bleak evening. A Mess of Morelands: Too much partying, Part 1
http://blessedbeyondmyimagination.blogspot.com/2009/12/too-much-partying-part-1.html
Friday, December 18, 2009. Too much partying, Part 1. This has been the week of school Christmas parties. Lots of parties. Really, why do they have school this week at all because it's really just a bunch of parties. Anyway, we'll start with Thursday because it was probably the most hilarious. Brady and Max attend a little MDO in Boerne, and their Christmas program each year is OUT OF CONTROL. But Brady was hilarious. He started the program sweet like this. After the program was over (and not a moment to...

A Mess of Morelands: January 2009
http://blessedbeyondmyimagination.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 31, 2009. Christmas was a marathon event for our family this year, and the kids loved it. We celebrated Moreland family Christmas on the second weekend of January. Gran, Grandad, Matt, Sara, Hollyn, Noah and Hannah all arrived on Friday evening. We had breakfast together on Saturday morning, and then the gift opening began. I'm really not sure who had more fun: the kids or Gran. Andy takes his role as helper to the little boys very seriously, as I'm usually behind the camera. The little...

A Mess of Morelands: More flags, more fun
http://blessedbeyondmyimagination.blogspot.com/2009/12/more-flags-more-fun.html
Wednesday, December 16, 2009. More flags, more fun. And it was so worth it. We went straight to Santa, who was the most awesome Santa ever. Too bad my photography skills are so lacking. And too bad I couldn't get all four kids to smile and look at the camera AT THE SAME TIME. Oh, well. Some day. Santa really took his time, and it was so sweet. But check out Brady's hair. What on earth was going on there? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Road to Rhett. Discipline Dance, my other blog. They grow up ...

A Mess of Morelands: May 2009
http://blessedbeyondmyimagination.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 7, 2009. I've always held that camping is just not my thing. I joke that the La Quinta is as close to camping as I care to get. I don't love dirt and fishing and the smell of campfire in my hair. But I love Garner State Park. The best quote of the weekend came from Blake, of course. He said, after we'd been there for a few hours, "This is way more fun than I thought it'd be.". Poor kid. He'd been poisoned by his mother's bad attitude. And he actually cried when we left. I know some of you a...

A Mess of Morelands: December 2008
http://blessedbeyondmyimagination.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 14, 2008. I smile because you're my sister. I laugh because there's nothing you can do about it. I saw that quote somewhere, and loved it. As children, my sisters and I couldn't have been more different. We fought. We drove each other crazy with our "s" sounds. We skipped out on each other when it was our turn to do the dishes. We annoyed the heck out of each other. But even then, we loved and protected one another. Sunday, December 7, 2008. Andy had business in San Diego in September, a...

A Mess of Morelands: February 2009
http://blessedbeyondmyimagination.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 28, 2009. A REALLY cold Cowboy Breakfast. So yesterday it was 94 degrees here. This morning, it was FREEZING cold and very windy. But we went to the Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary Cowboy Breakfast anyway. Sydney performed with the jump rope team. It could have been a lot of fun if not for all the wind. The little guys were miserable and ended up going back to the house with Gran and Grandad before too long. (A big thank you to Gran and Grandad! Monkey see, monkey do. Blake: But what about ...

A Mess of Morelands: April 2009
http://blessedbeyondmyimagination.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2009. I did, didn't I? I told you that I might be getting a little religious, and here I go. I haven't historically written much in the way of personal thoughts and (dare I say the word? Feelings, but I'm gonna. Right now, as a matter of fact. A couple of letters I've written lately prepared me for this post, and I feel like I have no choice but to write it. So here goes. This morning, the Lord woke me up early. And that screaming woke Max. I know. Seems simple, right? But in this sea...

A Mess of Morelands: November 2009
http://blessedbeyondmyimagination.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 23, 2009. Swing, batta, batta, batta. Blake loves baseball. I mean, really loves baseball. He loves to watch it. He loves to play it. He loves to talk about it. This year, we were so blessed to be part of an awesome team for Fall baseball. The coaches were wonderful, Godly men. Coach Will started each game with a big smile and an excited "Boys, tonight we get to play baseball. Isn't that awesome? He instilled a love and passion for the game in the boys that was just inspiring to witness.
