Discover America Nordic is a non-profit umbrella organization operating as a facilitator, coordinator and organizer for USA members as well as Nordic Members. The national committees will remain, overseen by a Nordic Executive Board working voluntarily to promote tourism from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland to the US. Established in October 2006, but already one of the largest and most active committees, presently with 64 different US and Scandinavian companies and Tourism offices as members.

Statistics from the USA show that a new record was set in 2014 with more than 300.000 travellors from Norway to the USA. The figures show that 310.204 Norwegians traveled to the USA last year, which was an increase of 9.1% from 2013 and almost a doubling of the figure from 10 years ago. It was also a good year for the other Nordic countries, figures for Denmark were over 300.000 visitors for for the first time while Sweden had over half a million for the first time, an pressive figure.
