SMPASOCIAL: Would have could have
http://smpasocial.blogspot.com/2012/04/would-have-could-have.html
Monday, April 30, 2012. Would have could have. What should I have talked more about this semester? What could I have talked less about? Recently I went to the Sunlight Foundation's Transparency Camp. I was inspired by ideas of open-government, hacking and journalism all working together, access to information, and self-organizing. Should I have included this? Should I have talked more about Facebook? Should I have talked more about the idea of Facebook as a platform. Did we do enough on privacy?

Why St. Louis is an underrated city. Gateway to the Best. The Fabulous Fox Theatre →. February 16, 2012. Waiting ten minutes for the next train is not the end of the world. I’ve literally seen people jump over the sides of escalators to make the train before the doors close. The morning commute in DC can be extremely stressful, and at times I’ve found myself wondering why I live here, after being shoved and packed into a train like sardines. 8221; rather than the competitive “what do you do? Even though ...

Did Somebody Say “Scallops”? | farm to fork (DC)
https://farmtoforkdc.wordpress.com/2012/02/19/did-somebody-say-scallops
A little bit of this and a dash of that…. Farm to fork (DC). Did Somebody Say “Scallops”? One of the best things about living on Capitol Hill is having easy access to Eastern Market. I find myself there at least once per weekend to check out the seasonal produce and wander through the flea market. But did you know? Scallops. Big ol’ sea scallops, to be exact. Wrapped in thick cut bacon. Be still my heart. Check out the recipe below, adapted from the one and only Emeril Lagasse. Bam! 1 quart heavy cream.

A little bit of this and a dash of that…. Farm to fork (DC). And Then There Was Red Velvet Cake…. So, there is something that you should know about me. Throughout my baking career, I have made dozens of biscuits, cookies of all kinds, and just about every dessert under the sun. I make a mean cinnamon roll. A little bit of this and a dash of that…. Farm to fork (DC). What I Did On My Spring Break: Or, A Few Delicious Things I Ate At Disney World. Last week I had the unbelievable good fortune of being sent to Orlando for work. (Coincidentally, my trip just happened to fall during GWU’s spring break week.). After the conference was over, I spent a couple of extra days exploring Disney World for the first time. I’m a California girl, so Disney Land I understand. But Disney World? But oh man they are good.
