Breakfast : Blanket Drive Breakfast. As you know Divan Center organized a blanket drive last November to help the Syrian refugees in Turkey. More than 500 blankets were collected during this drive. The blankets were shipped to Turkey and distributed to those in need late last year in time for the winter months. We would like to thank everyone for their support and contribution. As part of Divan Center's educational activities, the Weekend School program offers Turkish, History, and Ethics classes for Turkish-American students. Our school is serving primary age children (ages 5-12) according to their individual needs. Classes are arranged based on the number of students at each level. Trip : Friendship and Dialogue Trip to Turkey. Divan Center organized three Friendship and Dialogue Trips to Turkey in the summer of 2013. Participants had the opportunity to experience the beauty of Turkey through its rich cultural and religious history. They also met with some of Turkey's community leaders and citizens to experience Turkey's unique culture and world famous hospitality. The trip has yielded very positive results with respect to bridging gaps between diverse cultures and faiths.
