As salaamu’alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatahu. Let me begin with a few ayaat from the Qur’an, one of which contains the expression we so often use when we hear of someone passing from this world and which is the title of my speech:. 8217; But He sa...

My (not-so) American Life. My blog of my trip from Charlotte, North Carolina to Dakar, Senegal, my year spent there, and back again. Friday, September 22, 2006. Today I think I am just going to list some of the fun things we did here. I did a double backflip! After we got ice cream, we headed out. They had some basic theme park rides there too, bumper cars and kiddie merry go rounds. The whole place had plastic palm trees too. Big building by the beach. Sunday, September 27, 2009. What would you say? OkI know that it has been two years since I have posted.but I shall begin again insha'Allah. Here is the message of the day:. Our Prophet (saws), is known to us as a 'Mercy to all the Worlds,' and yet we see Muslims taking actions which are so far from that concept that it is shocking. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sheikha Munira's Blog: Testification....
http://munirasblog.blogspot.com/2007/06/testification.html
Tuesday, June 19, 2007. We will testify. We will answer for how we lived our lives on this earth, and what we said and believed about God, all in the next life. What will we say? Will we be ashamed? Have we taken this life as a game, numbing ourselves to the seriousness of the situation? Have we made popular culture and belief the driving forces of our lives, or have we searched our soul to its depths for the Truth? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

My (not-so) American Life. My blog of my trip from Charlotte, North Carolina to Dakar, Senegal, my year spent there, and back again. Monday, September 17, 2007. This one is simple. We are home, doing fine, but we do miss a lot of things about Senegal. The adhan in the morning, our friends, some food, and the Qur'an. Now whenever we complain about the food here, my mom threatens us with fish and rice- ugh. I am starting a new blog my dad is forcing me to do so stay tuned to that one.

My (not-so) American Life. My blog of my trip from Charlotte, North Carolina to Dakar, Senegal, my year spent there, and back again. Friday, February 02, 2007. Man, sometimes it gets really boring here, and this is no exception. We are all waiting for the Mauloud so that we have some Americans to talk to and get updates from. But happily I have found ways to spend my time. I have finished Juz Amma and am almost halfway done with the 29 juz. I am taking up sewing and schoolwork-ugh!

http://munirasblog.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 16, 2007. The deaths of Ali and his sons. Said al-Asbagh al-Hanzali: 'At daybreak, shortly before the time when Ali (may God ennoble his face) was struck down, Ibn al-Tayyah came to him to call him to the Prayer. He was reclining and sleepy, and remained so when he returned to him. But when he came for the third time Ali arose and walked, saying:. Gird up your loins for death. Death shall surely meet you. Do not be angry at death. When it comes to your valley. Truly, I see death as nothing ...
