He is an outgoing person with a great sense of humour. Maioro was born with spina bifida and uses a wheelchair. He is currently a Waikato and New Zealand Men’s Squad Member for Wheelchair Basketball and has a Diploma in Sport, Recreation and Exercise Science from WINTEC in Hamilton.
