Judith's Divorce Blog: Special Places
http://judithsdivorceblog.blogspot.com/2015/07/special-places.html
Saturday, 18 July 2015. T here are always special places for specific purposes. I imagine that somewhere there must be Mediation Towers, Collaborative Avenue and Negotiators' Nook to go with County Court that most divorcees are, of course, already familiar with. I'm guessing, however, that before visiting any of those places, many couples begin in Arguments Yard, which I came across on my wanders today. 22 April, 2016 10:42. Judith's Divorce Blog: An Upgrade
http://judithsdivorceblog.blogspot.com/2015/07/an-upgrade.html
Friday, 31 July 2015. Yesterday I upgraded the operating system on my computer to Windows 10. I think it was that word “upgrade,” because in doing so I was reminded of the client who once upon a time told me that he was looking to upgrade his wife. Now let’s get this clear: we might upgrade computer systems, downsize houses and recycle aluminium cans. We may even divorce spouses, but what we never do is upgrade, downsize or recycle them. Judith's Divorce Blog: Remote Control
http://judithsdivorceblog.blogspot.com/2015/08/remote-control.html
Wednesday, 5 August 2015. I took delivery of a new television set today. We now have his and her TVs, after I finally resolved that watching the screen when Outdoor Man controls the remote is just too tricky. Whenever I thought that we were settling down to watch something, lo the channel changed. What is it about men and their innate desire to surf TV channels? Dividing up all of your belongings is probably the hardest part of the whole process, going through all of your memories together. Judith qualif...

Judith's Divorce Blog: Grexit
http://judithsdivorceblog.blogspot.com/2015/07/grexit.html
Tuesday, 7 July 2015. Every family lawyer across the land acts for at least one client who is arguing over money. Neighbours have sought to assist in bartering an agreement, but when Alexis decided to consult and involve his relatives concerning the terms proposed by Angela, she has taken umbrage and declared that there can be no deal. Uncle Jean-Claude has today asked them to compromise but they seem to be becoming more entrenched. Who knows how it will end? Ultimately, in due course,. Retiring in June ...

Judith's Divorce Blog: GOD SAVE THE QUEEN
http://judithsdivorceblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/god-save-queen.html
Thursday, 2 June 2011. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN. Now that’s all well and good if your neighbours are offering to cook and they are congenial company. What happens though if you don’t like the folks next door? After all it could even be your ex living there (these arrangements do happen, believe me)? You won’t have spoken for months and you know they can’t even cook toast without burning it. Oh well one of you has 12 months to find somewhere else to live. Oklahoma Divorce Attorney Matt Ingham. Judith's Divorce Blog: FAMILY JUSTICE REVIEW
http://judithsdivorceblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/family-justice-review.html
Thursday, 3 November 2011. The Family Justice Review. 8220;Progress depends,” he writes, “on a general social expectation of the full involvement of both parents in the lives of their children before separation, not on changes in the law.”. The aim of the report is to be applauded, namely to find a quicker, simpler, more cost-effective system, but if a cultural shift is required for the sentiment of the report to be fulfilled, that will never happen overnight. So will anything much change? Judith the cha...

Judith's Divorce Blog: The Sugar Plantation
http://judithsdivorceblog.blogspot.com/2015/01/the-sugar-plantation.html
Sunday, 11 January 2015. Once upon a time, I recall a client referring to her husband’s behaviour towards her with the immortal words, “It ain’t no sugar rush when he rings.”. She was describing how he constantly monitored her movements using smartphone technology and repeatedly ringing her to make it clear that he knew where she was and required an account of what she was doing. I just read an article that Facebook has been cited in about one third of divorce cases in the past couple of years. Certa...
