Monday, March 31, 2014. As We Wait.our 6 month mark. Well, we hadn't heard anything from our social worker for a couple of months, so we decided to email her to check-in. She said we hadn't been shown recently because of special circumstances with particular adoption cases.which is totally fine, but we just wanted to know how things were going. Thursday, November 14, 2013. We received a phone call from our social worker who asked if our book could be shown to a particular birthmother. Her mother passed away from cancer and with this medical history, she needed permission before showing our book. We said yes that is fine. And as we waited, it was hard not to think that 'every' phone call was from our social worker. Needless to say, the birthmother chose another family. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Even though "we feel ready" God's plan is far beyond more perfect than ours, and that is what we lean upon! I stole this paraphrased verse from a friend's FB page. When they were ready they did share with us the experience and we were surprised and amazed by their strength.which came from God and each other.they were truly each other's strength and weakness.and if you asked them now, it brought them closer together in their relationship and marriage.wow! And now with their second match, they are the proud parents of miss Maya (which could be Rett's future girlfriend :), and they would both say this was the way it was supposed to be.
