Life in Hong Kong. Friday, December 25, 2009. Short Ride to Sha Tin (Dec. 20a). Since I left Friday morning and arrived Saturday night, the next day was the Lord's day - Sunday, December 20th. I met Peter Shek on my first visit to Hong Kong in 1991. He is Chinese, but spent much time in Scotland.talk about a strange accent when he speaks English! I remember him well because he took an afternoon from his busy work schedule and showed me around Hong Kong and Kowloon for the first time on that first trip.

Cedric and I arrived a little before 9:00 AM to the 7 story campus in Tin Shui Wai (I still have to think of Dorothy and the man with "Tin Shoes" from Oz to remember that name. "Why? Because my brain is on Asian word overload! The service started off with the students entering the auditorium class by class, one line for each door, where they very orderly took their seats. Then a little fanfarean music was played...

Several people had brought friends, and there were several other visitors as well - including an American missionary and his wife from Arkansas on a survey trip.
