Dobre, priprav sa na príbeh môjho života. Fiktívny alebo nefiktívny? 16 září 2013 v 12:11. V roku 1963 dostal Cary Grant tretiu ponuku romantickej postavy po boku Audrey Hepburn v. Bol znepokojený 25 ročným rozdielom, ktorý bol aj dôvod, prečo sa neobjavil vo filmoch Sabrina a Love in the Afternoon. Nakoniec bola do filmu Šaráda. 9 září 2013 v 11:22. http://myreadinglife.blogspot.com/2014/07/i-am-having-so-much-fun-here-without.html
My Reading Life - Linda Lackey. Thursday, July 24, 2014. I am Having So Much Fun Here Without You by Courtney Maum. A funny title for a just-plain-fun in the sun summer read. When I started reading this light hearted romantic comedy, I wasn’t sure I would finish it. Richard, an English artist, has cheated on his perfect French lawyer wife. He has sold the only painting that has the power to keep them together. I didn’t see myself developing sympathy for either of them. And then the book got funny! In Oct...

My Reading Life - Linda Lackey: California by Edan Lepucki
http://myreadinglife.blogspot.com/2014/08/california-by-edan-lepucki.html
My Reading Life - Linda Lackey. Saturday, August 30, 2014. California by Edan Lepucki. Edan Lepucki’s California made its way to my radar when Stephen Colbert urged viewers to buy it amidst his Amazon vs. Hachette rant. Apparently, California was recommended to Colbert by one of my long time favorite author, Sherman Alexie. So the late night plug was something to take seriously. A bit of research about the author turned up the information that Edan Lepucki. Now we were on a mission! Finally, a week or so...

My Reading Life - Linda Lackey. Wednesday, May 20, 2015. God Help the Child by Toni Morrison. I cannot - ever - bash Toni Morrison, so I will not review this one. My Reading Life - Linda Lackey: Etta and Otto and Russell and James by Emma Hooper
http://myreadinglife.blogspot.com/2015/06/etta-and-otto-and-russell-and-james-by.html
My Reading Life - Linda Lackey. Monday, June 01, 2015. Etta and Otto and Russell and James by Emma Hooper. Eighty-three year old Etta is full of life, but she has never seen the ocean! This novel is all story, and as many of my favorite story tellers do, Hooper paints her landscape with the broad brush of magical realism. I loved Etta and her feisty determination. This novel is quirky and engaging. Want to escape this summer? Hike along with Etta and James. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

My Reading Life - Linda Lackey: The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion
http://myreadinglife.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-rosie-effect-by-graeme-simsion.html
My Reading Life - Linda Lackey. Sunday, February 15, 2015. The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion. I loved The Rosie Project. And I can't wait for the movie. I love Don Tillman and his hilarious wife, Rosie, so I knew I would live the Rosie Effect. I got a digital library loan of the novel, which was my first read in OverDrive. Was a name associated with the theory of data modeling and not a popular author. Everyone I know who has read The Rosie Project loved it and I will be recommending the Rosie Effec...

My Reading Life - Linda Lackey: The Story Hour by Thrity Umrigar
http://myreadinglife.blogspot.com/2014/12/the-story-hour-by-thrity-umrigar.html
My Reading Life - Linda Lackey. Wednesday, December 17, 2014. The Story Hour by Thrity Umrigar. Just before Christmas, I was having a nostalgic craving for a good old-fashioned Christmas shopping experience at a local book store. Problem is - there aren't any anymore. So we ventured to Mac's Backs Books on Coventry. I enjoyed the book enough to say I would recommend it. Both women are terribly flawed and vulnerable, which is why their stories seem so true. My Reading Life - Linda Lackey: We Are Called to Rise by Laura McBride
http://myreadinglife.blogspot.com/2014/07/we-are-called-to-rise-by-laura-mcbride.html
My Reading Life - Linda Lackey. Saturday, July 19, 2014. We Are Called to Rise by Laura McBride. I am a bit of a sucker for any book with an Emily Dickinson epigraph. The title of McBride’s debut novel comes from these lines,. We never know how high we are. Till we are called to rise;. And then, if we are true to plan,. Our statures touch the skies –.
