Wednesday, August 16, 2006. Tech finished last season at 7-4, averaged 147 yards on the ground, 219 yards in the air on offense. The defense picked up last year allowing an average of 133 rushing yards, and 248 passing yards. While this may not win any national championships, it was a huge improvement for the Bulldogs. But that was last season. So what does this mean for the Huskers? La Tech 2005 Stats. Rushing: 53rd (147.6 ypg). Passing: 66th (219.1 ypg). Scoring: 46th (28.73 ppg).

Wednesday, September 06, 2006. Week 1 In the Books; USC awaits Huskers. What do we know after the first week of the college football season? Several things, actually:. Callahan's committment to running the ball appears to be the real deal, but I already suspected as much after watching the spring game. The offensive line, while still not dominating or superior, is light-years ahead of last season. I hope Cozgrove was holding something back against LaTech. If he elects to use the "off-man" coverage he...

Tuesday, December 16, 2008. It should be an interesting night for sure Thursday when the final four kicks off at the Qwest Center in Omaha. Of course Penn State against Nebraska is the feature attraction, but the first match of the night will be interesting as well. It will also be interesting to see if the pro-Nebraska crowd gets behind Texas or Stanford in that match. My guess is Stanford. A lot of Nebraska fans just don't like the Longhorns in any sport. Thursday, September 29, 2005. Cyclone Warning - Week 5. Was that game Tuesday night (Toledo and Fresno? The first game of week 5 or was it the last game of week 4? Maybe last night's Cinncinnati/Miami (OH) kicked off week 5? In any case, the BIG XII gets "down to it" this week and Coach Callahan says the offense just has to "rev it up" - that. Qualify as an understatement. And must travel to Lincoln. OSU hasn't shown. Offense yet this fall but is home against the Buffalos. OU should have. Preparation, no...

Monday, October 31, 2005. OU reaction and analysis. The fake FG was a coaching error. It was logical to allow OU to kick into a strong wind and play it safe.that was the only major coaching error I saw in defense/special teams. Still, objectively.have you notice Nebraska plays better the further away from the beginning of the game and halftime? Monday, October 31, 2005 1 comments. Friday, October 28, 2005. The other side of the ball is where I'm worried. OU's defense is possibly the most talented Neb...

Wednesday, September 13, 2006. USC Preview: Keys to the Game. What might USC do against Nebraska's offense? Nebraska's best chance to win this game is to run the football, controlling the clock and negating USC's speed and athleticism. I think USC would rather have Taylor hit a few big plays than have Nebraska rush for 200 or more yards. If Nebraska does get behind, will Callahan stay with the run? Will Purify provide Nebraska with a true deep threat to counter press coverage? With USC's speed on defense...

Thursday, December 11, 2008. NCAA Tournament heating up. Now we get to the real deal. The first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament were pretty much a formality. There was no way the Huskers weren't going to advance to regional play in Seattle. But now it gets interesting. Two years ago when the Huskers played in Gainsville, Fla., it was Minnesota that beat the host team in the regional semifinal. The Huskers survived that regional to win the school's third national title, but they fell behind the ...Last ...
