Life is a movie. Write your own ending! Lj idol 19 - shibusa. Sep 7th, 2014 at 12:19 PM. When my grandparents were forced to leave the old farmhouse my mother and her siblings had called home for their whole lives, my grandparents chose to build a sprawling ranch home less than a mile from the old house. The center of the house, moreso than the grandfather clock in the foyer or the big picture windows that looked out over the land my grandfather had farmed his whole life, was the farm table. We had a pic...

LJ Idol: Trolley Problem. Feb 21st, 2017 at 2:12 PM. I turned your dreams into lightning. I held the world back for you. I loved you past the point of dyin. No one who loves you will ever require that you annihilate yourself to prove your love. I need you to repeat that to yourself until you believe it. We live in a culture that feeds us narratives, from the time we are small, that equate love with self-sacrifice. If we truly love someone, if we truly love some. This is all a lie, and its a set up. The t...

LJ Idol: Take a Hike. Mar 2nd, 2017 at 2:14 PM. And I see the permanent damage you did to me. Never again, I just wish I could forget when it was magic. I wish it wasn’t four am, standing in the mirror. Saying to myself, you know you had to do it I know. The bravest thing I ever did was run. Do you even get that it was wrong, that it was violent, that it was ugly? I wish I could explain it to you in a new way, a way that you could understand, a way that you could accept. 10 comments Leave a comment.

Idol 9.18 Disinformation - Deidre Williams
http://deidrewilliams.livejournal.com/4090.html
Picking up the shattered pieces. Idol 9.18 Disinformation. Aug 17th, 2014 at 3:29 PM. Robin Williams died last week. He killed himself. There has been an outpouring of reactions, but for me, it hit too close to home. The voice of depression lives inside of me. "How can you go on surviving? You push away everyone you love, after they tell you they want to help you not kill yourself.". They don't care about you any more.". Other people might, but their wishes don't matter. Only the person I pushed away.

Capstan of the Shift. Oct 9th, 2014 at 6:15 PM. She was a good bird, the Cupertino. But she was in the second stage of her third 10-year repopulation mission, and there had been rumors afloat from the California Commission that she would not see a 4th. The work they’d done within these chambers was important — revolutionary, even — and the stories she’d tell if her hulls could talk. well, they would be no less than legendary. It seemed to be some sort of baked loaf, but it had spots of something red melt...

What nobody tells you is that praise—a standing ovation, a good review, your teacher’s approval—makes you feel good for a day, but one line of internet criticism from a stranger will reverberate in your skull forever. Frankly, I don’t see what all the fuss is about. What nobody tells you, the artis...

LJ Idol Week 41: Koro - ...but in the mud and scum of things, there always, always something sings
http://suesniffsglue.livejournal.com/476345.html
But in the mud and scum of things, there always, always something sings. LJ Idol Week 41: Koro. March 11th, 2015. The time before the witches were hunted, they flew above the radar with much more ease. Nearly every village had at least one home set slightly deeper in the woods than the rest inhabited by a lone woman. She was sometimes young, and sometimes old; she was sometimes lovely and sometimes weathered. She was always, always fierce, and she always had a large garden. Repeated Henry to himself as h...

But in the mud and scum of things, there always, always something sings. LJ Idol Week 43 FINAL: Why I Should Win/Why My Opponents Should Win. March 22nd, 2015. The Keeper bowed his head in greeting and gestured for the three to come closer. When he spoke, his voice was kind, outplaying the intimidating nature of his role. "Please accept my warm welcome to the end of the path. One final step and one of you will emerge from the other side: a question.". This final step is quite a riddle," she began, "for I...
