Doggyjames' myanmar food adventures! Monday, December 19, 2011. Sunday, December 18, 2011. Kobe GyutakuYakiniku and Steak, Subang Jaya. One night while talking about dinner plans with my newest makan. Buddy, we decided to go for this little place in ss. 15 which supposedly offers one of the best Japanese BBQ experiences in town. And since it was the beginning. Of month when our wallets are still filled with salaries, we decided to go all out and treat ourselves there. And with our bellys. Beef, which cos...

Doggyjames' myanmar food adventures! Sunday, January 29, 2012. Sumi-Ka Yakitori Restaurant, SS15. SS15 is slowly known to the general public as a hidden haven for authentic Japanese cuisine. With so many Japanese expats and retirees setting up shops in the area, dozens of Japanese restaurants would give any dedicated foodie a tough time choosing a place for a good meal. Sumi. Is one of such places, which serves real good authentic Japanese yakitori. Has that old time traditional Japanese yakitori. You sh...

Doggyjames' myanmar food adventures! Tuesday, September 24, 2013. 999 Shan Noodle Shop, yangon. Small little shop: checked. Helpful workers and friendly boss: checked. Great food: Double Checked! The fried tofu was light and had a fine aroma, perfect marriage with the noodles I'd say. Wouldn't say its the best tofu I had but definitely among the best in Yangon. What surprised me was the standard condiments which come with the noodles. The preserved vegetables was dynamite, it was crunchy, aromatic an...

Doggyjames' myanmar food adventures! Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Seng Huat Bak Kut Teh, Kepong. Whenever you ask any Klangite. On the topic of the first and most authentic Bak. Chances are they will tell you its the one "under the bridge". That automatically means Seng. Which has been operating under the Klang. Bridge for more than 40 years now. It has always been a family tradition for me to have BKT. And then, I found out they have a branch in Kepong. Quite near to my office place now. Arrived in a claypot.

Doggyjames' myanmar food adventures! Sunday, December 7, 2014. Yoogane Korean Restaurant Yangon. One thing i notice after coming to Yangon 2 years ago: I really, really, REALLY cant live without fried rice. Why? I say yes, yes please. Photo taken from Yoogane's facebook page. The setting of not of your typical Yangon type of few wooden tables and short plastic chairs, but decorated nicely with good designer (at least they look designer to me) furniture with ample space between tables. Doggyjames like.

Thursday, November 26, 2009. Of late, I've been listening to a lot of Edwin McCain's songs. Among my favourites are "Could Not Ask For More" (of course), "Couldn't Love You More" and this - "Shooting Star". There is another catchy song about some hotel, but the title seem to have slipped my mind. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Least I Could Do.

Sunday, July 26, 2009. Obviously, self discipline is not one of my strength. Definitely something I should work on. It's been awhile since I was last here, judging from the fact that I'm now on to my last paper. That's all the more a reason for me to instil more self discipline. Now that I've received my learning pack, I probably should get started soon. Here are a few key points, stolen from my learning pack, to manage demands of your work and study (and presumably life in general):-. Least I Could Do.

Monday, August 17, 2009. There are just too many "What If"s. Sunday, August 09, 2009. They just don't compose songs like these anymore. Forever tonight by Peter Cetera and Crystal Bernard. I've always found the melodies to duets like these really good. I'm not too sure what the right word is to describe it, but I believe say it would be something along the lines of easy listening and soothing, 'emo' but romantic, and nostalgic (for me at least). Saturday, August 01, 2009. But I am a little tight financia...
~chapters~: Scarcity
http://e-kimochi.blogspot.com/2009/08/scarcity.html
Saturday, August 01, 2009. I was first formally introduced the concept of "scarcity" in economics class, although I'm pretty sure I was familiar with the problem for way longer. Scarcity is simply the problem arising from the infinite needs (and more often than not, wants) with finite resources. Which, of course, introduces the concept of trade offs. Anyway, I've recently been a little bit of a financial blunder, or simply said, I'm broke. Alright, that might have been an exaggeration. Least I Could Do.

Tuesday, December 01, 2009. I really should be doing something more productive with my time. I've been youtubing for at least twice the amount of time I'd usually spend at the gym. That's not really all that long, but neither is it a short time. I came across a song and got me thinking. Maybe I'm a bit too young to be feeling old. I don't mean 'Grandpa Old'. More like 'time to act matured old'. Josh Gracin - We weren't crazy. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Least I Could Do.

Life is like a cup of coffee. Life is like a cup of coffee. It can be bitter. It can be sweet. Often both at once. In your quest for searching the perfect cup of espresso you might travel the hiways and byways, and off the beaten path. And when you find it, it hits you… the search itself is part of the reward. It’s not so much the destination, but the journey that counts! Monday, June 21, 2010. The nap leads to a long sleep. I slept like a dead woman. No joke! Its father’s day today!
