Sunday, July 8, 2012. This is a cherry tree in my backyard. I love cherries. And thought I really wanted fruit trees in my yard when I first purchased my house. One of the first thing I did, before I even moved in, was plant two fruit trees. a cherry and peach. The peach died. But the tough cherry survived in the random spot I plunked it off the original patio. I was working in the raised veggie garden the other day. trying to figure out why my beets are frying again this year. too hot?

Saturday, July 7, 2012. Today was a scorching hot Saturday. Stinky and Cavan were both not working and I talked them into floating the river with me. The river was busy, but not as crazy as it could have been on a hot Saturday. We were hoping and I believe we were correct in assuming many people were out at the fairgrounds for the Boise Music Festival. Since I didn't take photos, I think this a great blog post to bring back up the video from the summer of 2009. dang time flies! Capital City Public Market.
