My MGC GT 'Valentine': BIG thanks
http://mgcgtvalentine.blogspot.com/2009/01/big-thanks.html
My MGC GT 'Valentine'. Friday, 2 January 2009. Now I was experiencing that feeling of pride and achievement that goes with tackling a job for the first time and having success. With no previous experience I had managed to get my 40 year old MGC through it’s first MOT in 15 years. The hours laying on my back on the cold garage floor. The cut hands, scraped knuckles and bruised arms were all worth it. Labels: buying an MG. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My passions are my family, F1 and my 1969 MGC GT.

My MGC GT 'Valentine': Will Try Again!
http://mgcgtvalentine.blogspot.com/2012/10/will-try-again.html
My MGC GT 'Valentine'. Saturday, 27 October 2012. I don't seem to be doing very well in respect to updating the blog. Promised to do it some while ago but just have not seemed to have the time or interest or focus or remembered. In fact it's a combination of all. Had Valentine MOT'd again in June 2012. She passed as always, but Trevor pointed out that she had only done 70 miles since the last MOT. I will also try to keep up to date with current works. Now I have the Blogger App, I have no excuse!

http://mgcgtvalentine.blogspot.com/2009/06/club-run-and-bbq-mgcc-shirrell-heath.html
My MGC GT 'Valentine'. Friday, 12 June 2009. Club Run and BBQ MGCC Shirrell Heath. An excellent evening out on the road with 30 other MG's of all ages and styles. We met at Wickham Square at 7pm then went on a 27 mile run through the Meon Valley, finishing at the Prince of Wales Pub at Shirrell Heath. Where we all had a good look around all the cars followed by something to eat form the BBQ. All accompanied by some MG conversation and a Jazz quartet. Three C's in a row. My MGC GT 'Valentine': Nice new shiny bits
http://mgcgtvalentine.blogspot.com/2009/02/nice-new-shiny-bits.html
My MGC GT 'Valentine'. Wednesday, 11 February 2009. Nice new shiny bits. First job on the list is done. Valentine now has nice shiny new oil cooler pipes in place of the old, incorrect size black things that were there. A straight forward enough job once I had assembled the correct tools and had taken off the front grille. Although, it now appears that the oil cooler is in fact the wrong size. It’s to short! By coincidence Dicker Immins car is 41 on the same day so I asked if we could share the lead....

My MGC GT 'Valentine': Read, read and read some more. Oh, and join a club
http://mgcgtvalentine.blogspot.com/2008/10/read-read-and-read-some-more-oh-and.html
My MGC GT 'Valentine'. Sunday, 26 October 2008. Read, read and read some more. Oh, and join a club. The ‘interweb’ how much information is out there? More then I would ever need, so I used it, and the best bit is that it’s free what more could you ask? I got all the manuals and books that were advised as well. Then like an anorak, I sat and read them, again and again. Labels: buying an MG. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My passions are my family, F1 and my 1969 MGC GT. View my complete profile.

My MGC GT 'Valentine': That’s the One!
http://mgcgtvalentine.blogspot.com/2008/10/thats-one.html
My MGC GT 'Valentine'. Tuesday, 28 October 2008. That’s the One! Long story short, the deal was done. I had done it, I had got myself an MGC GT. The months of looking had paid off. I drove back down to Bristol with Dave, Marnie’s dad, four days later, trailer in tow to pick up the car. What a fun trip that was? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My MGC GT 'Valentine': A few jobs to do in early 2009
http://mgcgtvalentine.blogspot.com/2009/01/few-jobs-to-do-in-early-2009.html
My MGC GT 'Valentine'. Sunday, 4 January 2009. A few jobs to do in early 2009. All ready to go. These existing pipes must be at least twice the length of the new replacements. Talk about getting the oil to go the long way around! So the next few weeks I will be busy. I will update here as I start, progress and complete each job. I will also get more disciplined in taking photos through each stage of a job to show it from start to finish rather then just the end result. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

My MGC GT 'Valentine': Water, water everywhere
http://mgcgtvalentine.blogspot.com/2008/10/water-water-everywhere.html
My MGC GT 'Valentine'. Thursday, 30 October 2008. Water, water everywhere. Parts order number three……. New hoses all round; thermostat gasket and a new thermostat (may as well replace that while I have the housing off). Or, am I missing something? I know, the ‘interweb’ will tell me. Sure enough I found out about some stuff called ‘Plus gas’ all I needed to do was get some. So who sells it near me? Bloody no one that’s who! What else could it be? No couldn’t be? Only one way to find out, spray on some Ci...
