Domestically Disabled in Astoria. The musings of one domestically disabled Astoria gal, taking life one day at a time. Saturday, October 31, 2009. Happy Halloween, Blogosphere! I wish that I could get trick-or-treaters. I live in an upstairs apartment with no doorbell or intercom, so all of the adorable little candy-munchers are dependant on my downstairs neighbor. Poor kids. We went to Tournesol. I also got to strut my stuff last night in new shoes from ModCloth. Library Stacks Heels, $37.99. Well, I mu...

Domestically Disabled in Astoria. The musings of one domestically disabled Astoria gal, taking life one day at a time. Monday, November 23, 2009. Today it has been 7 years since my grandmother passed away. My memories, like photographs, are beginning to fade around the edges, but I will never forget everything that made her beautiful: her. Her ability to put anyone. At ease, and her. In having her loved ones all around her. I miss you every day. April 7th, 1941 - November 23rd, 2002. Over in Killarney,.

Domestically Disabled in Astoria. The musings of one domestically disabled Astoria gal, taking life one day at a time. Sunday, December 13, 2009. Have you missed me? I am terribly sorry that I haven't been active lately. Life has been more than a little crazy and I find myself having difficulty scheduling in "semi-important" things, such as.oh, say.sleeping and eating. Hope everyone is doing well! The Greedy Seagull: Smiling thrift gods
http://thegreedyseagull.blogspot.com/2012/02/smiling-thrift-gods.html
Monday, February 20, 2012. Wow, this morning the thrift gods really rewarded me for waking up early and taking a walk down to my local shops! I found a 50s Chinese novelty print cotton shirtwaist dress, a hand tailored 50s emerald silk faille blazer, and a 50s celluloid clamper bracelet- all my size, and strangely well coordinated when worm together! It's like the perfect vintage spring outfit was just waiting for me to gather it from three different spots! Labels: Vintage fashion clothing shopping 1950s.
The Greedy Seagull: March 2012
http://thegreedyseagull.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 19, 2012. I don't splurge on myself all that often, but when I do I make it count! Yesterday I visited the Pier Show, it has 500 antique, jewelry and vintage clothing vendors in a huge convention center! Needless to say, I could have spent days in there and emptied my whole life's savings. But I compromised and came away with two pieces I've been searching for for ages now. One is a Victorian perfume bottle necklace, the other a perfect pair of pink cat eye glasses! Wednesday, March 7, 2012.

Saturday, October 29, 2011. Though my seagull eye naturally gravitates towards sparkle and prints, I always appreciate a good neutral. I never feel as guilty when I spend good money on a piece that I know I will wear over and over again; especially when it's vintage and I know it's nice quality. All of these lovely vintage pieces are now available in the shop. Just in time for party season! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Blogs I ♥. Domestically disabled in astoria. Le blog de betty. Wednesday, March 9, 2011. Forgive me for not making time to do my promised birthday posts last week. I value many things over blogging, and sleep is one of them.so I won't stay up late to blog. My husband is also on Spring Break this week - which reduces my computer time by a lot! I thought this would be a fun view of our days. I recently ordered a booster seat for my son. Regardless of that, the box was an awesome treat for my kiddos! This thing has been living in our home for nearly 3 weeks now. So loo...

Adventures in the life of a domestically challenged single mom. On nights like this, i miss you, my dear old blog. sitting here alone in the dark, crying over the state of life and so wanting to pour my heart out. my new blog is too public for me to do that. I know this feeling of being alone will pass, or at least the severity of it will. i am lonely but yet i don't want to be around anyone, don't even want to talk to anyone, really. I am vowing to post more often again, so we'll see what happens! It lo...

Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been over a YEAR since my last post. I feel like I have to perform blogger penance or something. Can we say slacker? Or can I just chalk it up to an intense case of writer's block? Wedded bliss, Sean popped the question! Last but not least, I willingly. Looking back on 2010, I feel like I've ...

Home Health. Happiness. Our Consciously Created Home. In the honor of pumpkin everything, and the fact that I had the ingredients readily available, I made this bit of amazingness. One of my biggest pet peeves is when recipes don’t first tell you what temp to pre-heat the oven, and what type/size pan to use. So…325 for lightly greased, glass 9″ pie pan. 1 Can Sweet Condensed Milk (could use the lower fat version, lower sugar version etc.I will try whole fat coconut milk next time to make it #whole30).
