Machines are for Sissies. Monday, May 28, 2007. DH and I did a pretty intense workout tonight with the Crossfit class. 30 dumbbell snatches (15 on each arm). Row or run 400 m. Sunday, May 27, 2007. Still trying to come back. I guess I am still recovering from whatever knocked me on my butt - either a virus or Central Texas allergies. Anyway, I'm feeling better, but I still have this annoying cough and I'm still low on energy. That's it. Be strong! Thursday, May 24, 2007. First real workout in weeks.

Still getting over my cold most of the week, but did manage to get in a couple bikerides, and on Friday morning, had an awesome workout. 15/15 for 5 jump rope 1 minute rest 1 minute 4 times alternating between cleans and presses. Machines are for Sissies. Saturday, October 20, 2007. Getting ready to leave. Here are some of the workouts I did this week:. 21 deadlifts with 115 lbs. Alternate between KB cleans and barbell cleans. Barbell presses, sets of 5. Alternate between tricep pushups and tricep presses with the jungle gym. As many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of 20 box jumps and 15 medball cleans. As many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of 20 pushups and 320 m run. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Machines are for Sissies. Thursday, May 22, 2008. Back in town, and with a new toy! I was out of town for a while for work, but now I'm back. I got a couple runs in while I was traveling, and one circuit workout with weights. I bought myself a new toy. Its awesome. I love it. We have it set up in a spare bedroom in the basement. Machines are for Sissies. Thursday, January 17, 2008. I've been out of sorts, not working out, for months! I won't go into details, but sometimes I need to stop in order to go forward, so stop was what I did. I'm back into dancing again, trapeze, again, and discovering that I didn't lose as much strength as I had expected, so that was a pleasant surprise. Machines are for Sissies. Thursday, April 24, 2008. Run through the neighborhood. I did another run through the neighborhood tonight for about 32 to 33 minutes. Its a 3 mile route with some decent hills. I guess my overall pace was pretty slow, but I was feeling pretty tired too. Good job getting a routine going with the new job. Machines are for Sissies. Wednesday, May 07, 2008. The weather here, I mean. I try to take BBG's advice to heart and be beautiful but I pale in comparison to the Shenandoah Valley. Yesterday, I did a 45 minute run (approx 10 min mile pace) along a gravel road outside of town. The hills were intense, but so were the views. And as the sun was going down, the Appalacian mountains were shades of purple/blue that were stunning. It was fabulous. 4 sets of each. 10 handstand hipslaps, ea. side. 150 Jump rope F/B.

Circuit of shoulder presses with dumbbells, pushups, lat pull downs, divebomber pushups and a half-mile run on the treadmill.
