The Quiltery: March 2014
http://thequiltery.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, 15 March 2014. Today I spent some time in The Quiltery playing catchup with this months teal and aqua blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge Sampler organised by Sew Scrappy. These are the five blocks so far. I was being so frugal that I misjudged the amount of fabric required for the Friendship star and had to piece the corner squares because I didn't have enough of my light. And here are all my blocks together. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Blogs Close to Home. Hello B...

The Quiltery: January 2015
http://thequiltery.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, 25 January 2015. Cruisy last day of holiday. So how have I spent the last day of my summer holiday today? I've taken a very cruisy approach to it. A little (emphasis on little) household organisation, interspersed with a little reading, and a little quilting. 3 more blocks for the sampler. And some reds and neutrals for the border of Double Delight. Wish me luck for tomorrow. Saturday, 24 January 2015. Let's do the time warp - old and not so old projects. I wasn't in time to sign up for Adrianne.

It's a bit breezy here today and this is a big quilt so getting a good photo was trick but here is my version if Bonnie Hunter's Grand Illusion. 11 January 2015 at 10:51. The Quiltery: June 2014
http://thequiltery.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, 28 June 2014. I found more yellow. More mellow yellow June blocks for the RSC Sampler. I made these today along with carting a couple of boxes of books to the studio. I love the Alamo Star, and think it's my favourite block so far. Why? Not because my seams are perfect because they aren't. Because I got to use my new Tri Recs ruler to make it, and because when I first started quilting I joined an online group called Southern Cross Quilters, and this block is their logo. The Quiltery: Let's do the time warp - old and not so old projects
http://thequiltery.blogspot.com/2015/01/lets-do-time-warp-old-and-not-so-old.html
Saturday, 24 January 2015. Let's do the time warp - old and not so old projects. I've been doing a bit of a stock take. Overdue for new year perhaps? I wasn't in time to sign up for Adrianne. S Q1 Finish-Along, but these are the 3 projects I'd like to work on finishing during that time. I've checked off the list of 6 inch sampler blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. Bonnie Hunter's Grand Illusion. The top is finished, and the backing is sewn together ready to go, so this "just" needs quilting. Sadie a...

The Quiltery: April 2014
http://thequiltery.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, 6 April 2014. I've been pondering this. I've recently added some more fabrics included really bright orange so it really pops. Bye bye teal and aqua, hello purple. I've been playing catch up this week and finishing off the last of the March Teal and Aqua blocks, then making the first purple block for April. I was rummaging in the scrap box for a feature print for the Corner Frames block and I came up with the little 9 patch which worked perfectly. Tuesday, 1 April 2014. What Ive been up to. Slow ...

The Running Hare: October 2015
https://therunninghar.blogspot.com/2015_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 14 October 2015. This is now a top and just needs quilting and binding. I was waiting for the backing to arrive which it now has. This is now quilted, although very lightly and I'm not very happy with it. I managed to somehow load it incorrectly onto my longarm and didn't discover this until I'd quilted the first section. I was too lazy to undo it all, but it will make a good charity quilt. It just needs binding. This is a slow burner which I'm enjoying but obviously has a long way to go!
