I read Karen Russell’s St. Lucy’s Home for Girls Raised by Wolves. A few months ago. And I’d been meaning to read Swamplandia! Before there was Twilight, there was TWILIGHT: WHERE DARKNESS BEGINS…. Reading Lists | Unicorn Parade
https://unicornparade.wordpress.com/reading-lists
In 2009 I set the rather typical goal of reading 52 books, one each week. I read 87, not counting rereads and all the Sweet Valley High books I read. Since I totally DESTROYED my goal, in 2010 I decided read 104 books, two each week. Unfortunately, I suffered from severe book burnout and didn’t reach my goal, reading only (ONLY) 92 books. As I finish each book, or group of books, I make a post (you can find these under the Books Books Books category), but I’m also keeping a list for each year. Send to Em...

It Came From My Eyeball. Slow It Down →. September 23, 2011. Me earlier this week, when my eyes still worked. Now that I’ve been to the doctor for antibiotic eyedrops and can see again, here’s a selection of things from the week. This week Sailor Moon was really big in our house. A yellow cucumber, who knew this was even a thing? My latest, greatest idea: ombre glitter banners. Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). Click to share on Google (Opens in new window). Thursday, May 1, 2014. Oh, hi. It's been a while, hasn't it? A lot has changed. I don't really know how to go about this so I'll just go ahead and say it: I've been dealing with a lot of shit. Personal shit, but nothing devastating. Bryan and I are still together, my family is still intact, I still have friends, I still have a job, I still have things to make me happy. Can't figure out how to get myself to do it. I don't want to give up. Nah, I'll just watch some Netflix. Start yoga up again? I don't wan...

Wednesday, May 9, 2012. I promise I'm not dead. The semester I just finished was one of the longest and exhausting I've ever gone through, but that could be because it's my final year at NCTC and I just wanted this shit to be done with. But good news! Anyways, I digress. This is a happy post! Plus she does this. And this face just kills me omg. So, thank you little one. I'm glad you come into our home in a really sad time and for probably being the best Mother's Day present my mom could ask for. ...It's ...

Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Hello darkness, my old friend. The past couple of days have just sucked. She was just the sweetest. Dog I've ever known. I can't say how happy I am she was part of my family. my sister called me today to let me know that she was going to pay to get her individually cremated and bring the ashes to my mom, who sobbed when she broke the news. Now enough of the sad shit, time for cute Jessie Moof-Moof White pic spam:. Rest in peace, you most perfect cowdog. I've been reading this.

Just Like a Fire That’s Flaming. Some Things →. It Came From My Eyeball. September 23, 2011. Way back in time on the internet, a certain blogger *cough* kdiddy. Cough* posted an extreme close-up photograph of her diseased eyeball. I’m not gonna do that. You’re welcome. I am suffering from THE HEARTBREAK OF CONJUNCTIVITIS. But from my own stupidity. See, I. As promised, not. A picture of my crusty, seeping eyeball. Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). Share on Facebook (Opens in new window).

What I’ve Been Reading →. Variations on a Theme. September 20, 2011. I really like recipes that have easy tweakability, and I also really like snacking. These roasted chickpeas. Are perfect for both tweaking and snacking. I’ve made them with the original salt and vinegar recipe, I’ve made a chili lime variation. And most recently, a honey garlic variation that is my new favourite thing to eat. Shown here making an assault on Black Reach. 1 14oz can chick peas. 2 1/2 cups water. 2 tsp olive oil. Roast for...
