Panama.not for everyone. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Paraiso Restaurant and Bar. Labels: Golden Frog Cabin. This is one of the prettiest beaches I've seen. Lined with luxury beach homes, it reminds me of the Palm Beach area of Florida. Labels: Lost at the Beach. More on that later. Old Town has many new restaurants, bars, and shops, all very interesting. Probably have to return for another look. Labels: Old and New. But it is central to the canal area, and downtown.very convenient. Labels: Day 1 and 2.

Panama.not for everyone. Friday, June 3, 2011. Leaving Las Lajas was hard, but I had an appointment with Dr. Rima on Wed, so had to get on the road early. Jorge, a native Panamanian, spent many years living and working in Michigan, so he knows what we like, and how to provide it. The main dining room is lined with books which guests and visitors can read or borrow, and recycle. Besides, it's a pleasure to have a host who speaks English fluently. Panama.not for everyone. Friday, June 3, 2011. Las Lajas Beach Resort. It's about 25 minutes from the Panamerican highway to Las Lajas town, and the road is good. As we approached the resort, the road got worse.maybe the photos I'd seen of this place were not accurate? After a quick rinse in the outdoor shower there's nothing better than a cold beverage of your choice at the outdoor bar.
