Part of the mission of DFR is to provide a cost-effective venue for the sale of crafts and artwork created by local residents. Out Post Gallery @ DFR. Maintains a regular collection of high quality crafts by very local artists. We regularly have prints and local photos, cards and postcards, ceramics, wood-craft, glass art, jewelry and forestry products (willow, baskets, etc.). The gallery also houses the Dorstone History Society. Collection of locally found artifacts and information.

DFR has achieved fully self-supporting status with the help of the following:. Volunteering at DFR is fun whether it’s a quiet day with one or two local residents lingering for a long chat and a go at our always-on puzzle, or one of DFR’s famous manic days with visitors, the crochet group and food deliveries. Volunteers generally serve one 4-hour session every two weeks. We welcome regulars as well as irregulars to fill in the gaps. Please contact Gill. If you are interested in volunteering.

I. was founded in 1923 and meets on the first Thursday of the month at 7.30 pm in Dorstone village hall. We normally have an outside speaker during the evening and over the year they will speak on a variety of subjects. Each year we hold a Carol Concert open to the village, a Christmas Party and Birthday Lunch and also enjoy an annual outing.

Trening og slanke blogg. Lørdag 8. oktober 2016. I dag ble det morgen trening på på meg, flott springetur fra Gramstad til Dalsnuten og ned igjen. Starta før daggry. Det var litt for mørkt i starten så må nok få meg hodelykt. Det ble tid til en liten live feed på facebook når toppen var nådd. Turen er 4 km og 150 høydemeter. La og inn litt knebøy, totalt 100 rep fordelt på 4 sett. Legger ut noen stemmings bilder. Skummrings time, begynnte å lysne etter hvert. Godt det var lyst til nedstigningen begynte.

Welcome to Dorstone's Front Room! Dorstone’s Front Room is unique. DFR as it has come to be known locally began life in 2008 when the village of Dorstone was informed that we would shortly lose our small rural post office. For Dorstonians, the loss of our post office was a blow. Like many rural communities, the post office was the daytime hub of the village. It served as meeting place, information centre, last minute gift resource, and social glue. Automated External Defibillator (AED) Now Operational.
