Claire is turning four so we had a little pool party with some of her friends. We have had a mild summer so far with a lot of rainy days. Today was the first sunny day this week. Amber is up to something. The Santa Monica Pier is every bit as exciting as I thought it would be. Lots of people, fun rides, people fishing, the salty smell of the ocean and an exciting energy that I loved. Here's a view of the pier from the top of the Ferris. You had one month to complete an IronMan (run 26. miles, bike 112 miles and swim 2.4 miles). You did this over time and kept track of your mileage. We did it! Growing our family through adoption. Monday, August 18, 2014. A convertible, a cave, and a cafe. The cave was an awesome adventure. It was 888 stairs round trip, so we got a little workout. But we loved it. We worked up quite an appetite by the time we were done (especially considering we had to take a later tour of the cave than expected), so we stopped at Cafe Sabor in Garden City for some dinner.
