Friday, March 6, 2015. Finally wrapping up my record of the Whiting Family Reunion. Thankfully, the happy times were memorable, or I might not be able to recall much by now. :) My mom helped organize some fun times. My cousin Scott brought his "Commander Corn Dog" food truck to serve us all lunch. That was fun, especially for my kids. They would love that to be a regular thing. And no reunion would be complete without a watermelon bust. Or a fish pond for the kids. Or a ping-pong and tennis tournament.

Running with the Big Dawgs. Feb 27th, 2005 09:53 pm. Went to coffee at noon today with a few members of the scooter club. There were six of us there but two just came for the coffee and split when time for a ride. The few remaining of us decided on an abbreviated ride along the waterfront - one of my favorite solo routes actually and while it was fun riding behind a couple of guys on two-strokes was a little nauseating. Doug and Mae's Place. Friday, March 16, 2012. Blooming Pollen and Weeds. We had a very mild winter and are still a few days away from spring but it feels like summer! Even this old Mulberry tree is beginning to shower us with pollen. Doug finally figured out where he stored the lawn mower last year. Doug is trying to remember how to start the mower! Day trips with friends. Friday, February 9, 2018. OLD TOWN SAN DIEGO. We enjoyed refreshing root beer floats one afternoon in Old Town. Old Town San Diego. By 1846 the U.S. declared war on Mexico and a new constitution was written in 1849 and California was a state in 1850. By then the American flag was raised in the plaza and San Diego was incorporated as a city. The San Diego Union Museum is a historic structure in Old Town San Diego.
