the Doug's thoughts and ramblings: August 2010

http://dougrobertson.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Tuesday, August 24, 2010. I went to an autism seminar today. So I went to an autism seminar today. As you may know, my eldest son has been diagnosed with something on the autism spectrum. What has he been diagnosed with you ask? Some call it P.D.D.N.O.S. (pervasive develop disorder not otherwise specified - helpful no? Others call it an autism spectrum disorder. I say he sees the world differently then me. We continue the journey. Friday, August 13, 2010. Vacation 2010 part 1. As for perspective, I think...

the Doug's thoughts and ramblings: June 2010

http://dougrobertson.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Thursday, June 24, 2010. More ramblings then thought today. Today find me with some more random all over the place kind of thoughts, some of you may stop reading now. A quiet place to sit and ramble on about the thoughts in my head. What is provocative thought? How does one create content that others will interact with? How do stay consistent in all of this? Hence today's random post. On time and life and stuff:. What are the things that are personality traits and what are character weaknesses? I pray th...

the Doug's thoughts and ramblings: "Mark dilemma"

http://dougrobertson.blogspot.com/2011/04/mark-dilemma.html

Friday, April 08, 2011. I think I solved my " Mark" dilemma. If you click that link, you will see a Facebook status update I wrote lamenting the problem. Which is, 11 Sundays to fit ten chapters into, oh and we have special Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday services in those 11 weeks too. Some suggestions were given and at least one person wanted to hear how I resolved to approach the dilemma, thus this post. I realized that at the pace we were moving it wasn't going to come together the way I wanted. Some t...

the Doug's thoughts and ramblings: March 2011

http://dougrobertson.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 05, 2011. I have lots in my head these days, but every time I try to articulate it and it doesn't work. As Tara blogged about a little while ago. Don't know. We'll see. I have learned a lot in the short time we've been here. We have truly enjoyed it here. And we wait to see what God has in store for us next. Wherever that may be. In other news, I got a suitcase full of cameras the other day. How much fun is that? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Us, on the web.

the Doug's thoughts and ramblings: January 2011

http://dougrobertson.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Maybe you need to read this too. I get a daily email from the Henri Nouwen. Society thing. I don't always get around to reading them. Today's however was something that brought perspective. Letting our aloneness grow into solitude and not into loneliness is a lifelong struggle. It requires conscious choices about whom to be with, what to study, how to pray, and when to ask for counsel. But wise choices will help us to find the solitude where our hearts can grow in love. I'm a g...

http://debrowns.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Our life happenings for your reading enjoyment. Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Broken toes, diamonds, hives, paint fumes and a Graduation. I think you can get the gist from the title of this post that the last couple weeks have been pretty busy. And we decided it was time to tackle the project. That and Kendall kept scraping at the poly filler and licking it off her fingers! Isn't that always the way? They are cute, aren't they? Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Monday, June 11, 2012. The Importance of Water Safety.

the Doug's Photoblog: October 2010

http://dougrobertsonphoto.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 15, 2010. The last three or four weeks have seen me with my camera lots. Well over eleven hundred images since the last week of September. Some landscape, some birds, a wedding, a grade 2 event, a church family event, and a birthday party, along with some impromptu kind of portraits of my wife and kids. Rather then dump all th e photos on to a website, I thought a slideshow with one of the songs that's been on my CD player in the van a lot this month too would be good. Hope you enjoy them.

Sometimes answers arrive after long and deliberate research, but sometimes they arrive as suddenly and unexpectedly as a bird shitting on your head. I’m quite tickled to say that I received such a sudden answer today to a question I never consciously knew I had. Is this a story you’d like to read? June 26, 2016.

the Doug's thoughts and ramblings

Saturday, May 14, 2011. Ever feel like you don't know? We're in a season right now of transition. The time at which some of these changes will happen feel very imminent. I've noticed that when you start to feel the stress and the pressure (and make no mistake - we feel it), you become somewhat fixated on it all. It feels as if the one pressing question eclipses all the other answers you have in life. Which is a good thing to reflect on, if you're needing something to reflect on. Tuesday, May 10, 2011.

Sunday, March 10, 2013. I had found a few online designs of camera mounts for shooting panoramas. There are of course lots of commercial options available. I don't want to buy one - as I kind of feel they are very expensive (maybe I'll change my mind after I see how my rig does). So I tried to build one today. I decided to make a pano head that worked with my 35mm prime lens, so this pano head is only designed to work with that combination - my Nikon D90 and my AF-S 35mm F1.8G DX lens. 20 Images, all sho...
