J L Mann Academy. Commissioned Doug to make a bronze of their mascot for their new school. This slightly larger than life sculpture is located inside the school's new building. Was held on January 3, 2008 and covered by WYFF's playbook. Bronze, Slightly larger than life-size. This figure of Christ praying in the Garden of Gethsemane was commissioned for North Greenville University. In Tigerville, South Carolina. The unveiling ceremony was held on April 8, 2004. Among those in attendance were Gordon Dill from WYFF, Angelia Davis of the Greenville News, and Arlene Marcley, executive assistant to Greenville's Mayor, Knox White. The sculpture is located in the William and Willice P. Anthony Prayer Garden. 169; 2016 Doug Young.

I met Perrin at a cookout with mutual friends. The very next week I heard he had died suddenly and unexpectedly. His father asked me to do a memorial sculpture. I couldn't refuse. His parents and I spent countless hours talking, remembering, sculpting. Dedicated on June 10, 2014 Perrin's Park provides a place for children of all ages.
