Thursday, November 06, 2014. Third Stop: Downieville, Califoria. We climbed up highway 49, over Yuba pass, through lovely Sierra City and down into Downieville, California. Downieville, an active and once very prosperous mining location, is now a tourist destination, pretty typical "buy some shit in a pretty place" sort of feel to the area. We tried not to hit a tourist as we tried to get out of the town as fast as we could. There is a pretty epic race, The Downieville Classic. Posted by Michelle Stiles.

Approximately 125 miles east of Sacramento on highway 80 in Verdi Nevada is the Westernmost location of Cabela's. That retails between $110 to $150 for $45. I will wrap it up by saying that if you are a hunting and/or outdoor enthusiast, Cabela's is worth the time and travel required to browse the largest outdoor store I have ever shopped.
