Down on the Pharm: Aaaaawwwkward!

http://downonthepharmlife.blogspot.com/2010/10/aaaaawwwkward.html

Down on the Pharm. The day to day encounters of a retail pharmacist. Monday, October 18, 2010. So there is this guy who was a very regular customer of mine when I worked overnights. He would come in, I would remember his name, we would chit-chat. He thought he was pretty sexy with his shirt unbuttoned and his leather cowboy hat and ponytail, but our chats were friendly and quite harmless. October 19, 2010 at 12:27 AM. It always works that way, doesnt it? Try to be nice, and it ends up being foot-in-mouth.

Down on the Pharm. The day to day encounters of a retail pharmacist. Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Patients with Medicare Part D sure don't have good memories. No, they certainly don't remember a long, long time ago, all the way back in. I ain't paying for THAT! My insurance pays for my meds! If they ain't payin' then I ain't either.". This is awesome. This is where I get to do my job! Ma'am, did your doctor explain why she prescribed this for you? Yeah, she said my Vitamin D was low.". Well, no.". So I ...

Down on the Pharm. The day to day encounters of a retail pharmacist. Tuesday, October 12, 2010. I Hope You Feel Better". At this point, her face fills with rage, she waves her bandaged hand in my face and screams, "Well, I DON'T HAVE A FUCKING FINGER! I did learn from that encounter, and I try to read people a bit better before offering my wishes, and I have learned that in a serious situation, a simple, "Take care," voiced with concern works much better. And the folks that. October 13, 2010 at 5:01 PM.

Down on the Pharm: Fear of needles...

http://downonthepharmlife.blogspot.com/2010/09/fear-of-needles.html

Down on the Pharm. The day to day encounters of a retail pharmacist. Sunday, September 19, 2010. I walk out to the immunization area to greet my next flu shot patient. She sits nervously as I introduce myself to her. She is wearing a sleeveless shirt (thank you! And I can see several well-done tattoos on each arm. As I'm cleaning the area on her left arm with an alcohol swab, she turns her face and clenches her eyes shut. I'm terrified of needles! But you have all these gorgeous tattoos! I am a single, 3...

Down on the Pharm. The day to day encounters of a retail pharmacist. Thursday, November 18, 2010. I thought I had seen it all. So I got a phony phone-in prescription the other night. Not so unusual, right? Nothis chick was trying to call in her own prescription for.Diflucan! It went like this. Ms Itchycooch: "This is ER PA, agent of Private OBGYN, and I need to call in a prescription.". I call shenanigans on this one at the first sentence, but I play along. IC: "It's for Ms. Rotten Itchycooch.". Anyway, ...

downonthegarm | Adventures in the Dirt

Adventures in the Dirt. Key to Food Terms. Posted by downonthegarm in Food. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of having a full pantry – especially when you’ve worked hard to fill it up. I especially look forward to harvesting the squash each year and laying it out in the pantry to finish curing. Today, I brought in 120 lb of sweet meats, 25 lb of delicatas, and a few butternuts:. Quinoa, dry beans, and more squash are still to be added to the pantry this season – but where will they fit? For dessert...

Down On The (Howard Family) Farm

Down On The (Howard Family) Farm. Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Once upon a time, farm-wife Katie said "We can have cattle, but I NEVER want us to have a bull. Ever.". Famous last words, right? Kevin and I purchased three Belted Galloway heifers about a month ago that were to be bred when we picked them up. However, about a week before we got them their owner very apologetically had to tell us his bull had become impotent. Therefore, we purchased open (unbred) heifers. About a week ago I saw a posting for a Be...

Down on The River

Down on The River. Wednesday, September 13, 2006. Morning session final day WIPO 13th September 06. The last two days have been dominated by speculations about the series of bilateral discussions that have been taking place between the US, India, Brazil and the EU. While they have all had discussions with other countries, these parties are seen by many as the keys to whether an agreement for a Diplomatic Conference will be reached. Russia, Mexico and the Philipines then spoke in favour of going for a DC.
