http://abbigailisraelsen.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Studio work, process, and inspiration. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. My summer has been filled with a lot of traveling and newborn care. Since my little one arrived in June I have been spending as much time with my family as possible. Now he is a little older I am working in the studio when he sleeps and big sister is at preschool. Here are a few small studies, testing some new media and reminding my fingers how to draw. Until then, I will enjoy this small, sweet, child. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Photographs of the entire drawing will be on my website. Soon Or please come to Delusions at The Waldron Arts Center. Opening May 7, 2010 to see it in person.

Abbigail Knowlton Israelsen: Process
http://abbigailisraelsen.blogspot.com/2010/09/process.html
Studio work, process, and inspiration. Saturday, September 25, 2010. I have a few projects underway. I am working on a large drawing for a group show proposal with a collection of Bloomington artists. The photo shows how I often begin, testing images and placement on tracing paper. After I solidify the composition and content, I transfer the drawing to paper. I saw a deer along the road this morning also, it made me so sad. It is even worse if it is a fawn. The picture is looking sad and beautiful.

Abbigail Knowlton Israelsen: March 2010
http://abbigailisraelsen.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Studio work, process, and inspiration. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. I have been working on three large drawings for some time. I was hoping to have them wrapped up but I had to spend quite a few days in the hospital with pnuemonia putting me back a few weeks. I have been taking some time off of studio work to recover. This shows the early development of the drawings. I compose them on tracing paper and then transfer the image to rag paper once the composition settled. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Four Vs. Two: August 2008
http://jebandbecca.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Four Vs. Two. Saturday, August 30, 2008. So yesterday we had Savannah's MRI. We were exhausted to say the least. The night before (Thursday) we stayed up late watching the Dem. Natl. Convention on TV (here in Denver:) and the next morning we had to be at the hospital at 6:00 am. I was planning on getting up at 4:45 so we could leave at 5:15 but I awoke with a start at 3:55 remembering my tooth fairy duties for Blake! He kept asking if we could go back there for lunch. And then fell back to sleep. Any...
