As Chairman for the OAOP Centennial Committee in 2007, Dr. Brewer and his wife, Kathy, took the history of the first 100 years of Oklahoma Optometry and complied it into a book. The book, "The First Century" began with depicting life as an Oklahoma optometrist at the beginning of the 1900's and continued detailing the changes and improvements in optometry over the next 100 years.
