I had some really good conversations with some awesome team mates of mine, yeah, Live Uncommon Team Mates! They are awesome and if you have not experienced them, you need to, wicked bunch of athletes, parent, friends and down to earth people! What I CAN do. Thursday, May 31, 2012. One of those Days! This was one of those weird training days! Last night I had a water ski show and we skied really well for the second show of the summer. I was excited about that and took a while to calm down. I went to bed about 11:00 knowing I was to get up at 4:30 and run with the CRAZIES! However, when the alarm went off, I heard the rain drops and decided I would sleep and get some rest. I needed it as I slept in till 8:00, that is unheard of from me. This we...

Chad Bishop...Chasing Life: The weight of the situation...
http://chadbishop.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-weight-of-situation.html
Saturday, October 27, 2012. The weight of the situation. Pretty extreme, however some of the folks in Iowa are actually contemplating whether or not this is a viable option. I could use a year off, so this would suit me just fine. I was on the ropes, regarding my energy to race prior to this drama, so my cycling world is also in a bit of turmoil. The. Weight of the situation. Issue, not theirs, however, so no ill feelings. life happens, and cycling is only one small part of the big picture. Currently, I ...

Chad Bishop...Chasing Life: Sequestered - The upside of isolation
http://chadbishop.blogspot.com/2013/02/sequestered.html
Friday, February 8, 2013. Sequestered - The upside of isolation. Well, that last post was ridiculous, but suggests that I am not really that. About racing my bike as of yet. I am staying in shape, but currently pre-occupied with developing my group fitness instruction expertise and finishing up my master's degree. Part of it has to do with being isolated. So, I am sequestering. Sat Feb 09, 09:37:00 AM CST. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Muscatine Independent Film Festival. Monday 08.22.16. Tour of A...

Thursday, January 24, 2013. Backed Up on the Porcelain Podium. Are you still reading? It is fine, if you stop, but that would be odd, because you have made it this far, and I might have something useful to say about bowel movements. A 'podium trophy' of a different sort. Yes, I know "weight is just a number". well, a lot of things are 'just numbers' and they are very useful data within the world of science and technological advancement. So, should my fecal matter count as my 'weight'? Of course. Are ...

Chad Bishop...Chasing Life: Black Diamond Time Trial
http://chadbishop.blogspot.com/2012/07/black-diamond-time-trial.html
Monday, July 2, 2012. Black Diamond Time Trial. I had a rewarding experience at the third and final edition of the Black Diamond Time Trial, near Iowa City on Sunday. My results haven't been particularlly noteworthy in events that require the cooperation of the other competitors, so I decided to get back to some familiar ground, by racing against one of the most cooperative people I know. my self. This sort of sums up my racing situation and motivations. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). American Equit...

Chad Bishop...Chasing Life: December 2012
http://chadbishop.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 17, 2012. Life without bike racing. Isn't so bad. I wondered how I would fill my time if I wasn't involved in competitive athletics, and now I am happy to report that I have found plenty of new ways to occupy my time. Sometimes I think about guys I used to race with that seem to just 'disappear'. At some point, people decide not to race their bikes, and they move on to something else, it really isn't a sad turn of events, just a natural developmental progression. I can't wait to read my ...
