Experience Truth in Wellness. Written by Lisa Valdez. This morning prior the start of my workday, I went for a walk around the new town where I work – Palo Alto, California. The air is crisp and cool – unexpected on a mid-July day (at least for this relocated Southern girl who is accustomed to muggy, hot summers). The climate is perfect. Not too hot, not too cool. And I am at peace. Likely, my weekend of quiet solitary retreat. And so I suppose you could say I got re-anchored. Is that a joke? Ok, Lisa, c...

What’s with all the bunnies? Why hello there, old blog! Long time no see, visit, check, update, or otherwise engage with! August 27, 2014. And here it is! My semi-annual post about how maybe I will start posting on this blog again, since I really don’t want the blog to die off entirely. A Hedgehog for Hazel. May 13, 2014. My kids actually are funny (and sweet and wonderful). How to kill an hour on a Sunday afternoon–Mabel’s satirical science board. February 22, 2014. My kids think they're funny. We haven...

What’s with all the bunnies? Newer posts →. SOP for microwaved potatoes. September 7, 2013. This standard operating procedure was an assignment for Isaac’s biotech class, and I asked him if I could share it here because I loved it. (We couldn’t get the numbering system from his document to transfer over in a cut-and-paste, so just imagine a better numbering system than this one.). To delineate an exact method of baking red-skinned potatoes in the microwave. Take care when using a fork not to stab oneself.
About Me | My Imaginary Blog
https://myimaginaryblog.wordpress.com/me
What’s with all the bunnies? I’m Zina. My name rhymes with “Dinah,” like in the song where someone’s in the kitchen, strumming on the ol’ banjo. My name is a Mormon pioneer name that I inherited from ancestors on both sides of my family. I called this my imaginary blog because I was writing it in my mind for a couple of years before I put it on the internet. I think the title still works because I come to my blog as an escape from the real world. May 24, 2010 at 1:09 pm. May 25, 2010 at 11:17 pm. Wow you...

What’s with all the bunnies? In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. A Hedgehog for Hazel →. How to kill an hour on a Sunday afternoon–Mabel’s satirical science board. February 22, 2014. I just found this while sorting through old papers, and decided to type it up before recycling it. Mabel’s best estimate is that she made this when she was seven, or maybe nine. The Study: How ignorant can big brothers be? Are big brothers more ignorant under certain circumstances? Yes, but further testing).

Experience Truth in Wellness. 14: We Have Arrived! Written by Lisa Valdez. Yesterday we arrived in Los Angeles midday. I saw the Hollywood sign for the first time in person. And we ate at a Mediterranean Global Street Food place, called Spitz. Yum! I wish I’d taken a picture of our salad with falafel! It was amazing…. Spitz in L.A. Oh, and Eddie informed me as we were buying lunch: there is no food sales tax in California. Cause, after all, I like food. Share this post by E-mail. Share this post on Digg.
Making Pho (or is it Pha?) « Living Shalom
http://www.livingshalom.com/2015/01/making-pho-or-is-it-pha
Experience Truth in Wellness. Making Pho (or is it Pha? Written by Lisa Valdez. My husband and I have a new shared interest: Vietnamese Pho. Nope, actually, here in California, I’ve learned it’s pronounced “Pha” as the “Fa” in “Far,” not “Pho.” The small accent over the “o” apparently changes the pronunciation. On the east coast, we called it “pho.” I suppose due to the large Asian population here in California, you can’t go for long saying it the wrong way. Now, it’s “pha.”. Essential Oils for Pho Soup.

What’s with all the bunnies? Hazel’s Makeshift Nativity. How to kill an hour on a Sunday afternoon–Mabel’s satirical science board →. In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. December 25, 2013. Santa’s been here! He made it by about 11:20 PM, which isn’t quite a record in this house, but still leaves Dean and me plenty of time to stay up too late grading finals (him) or playing Scrabble online (me). Malaprops! | My Imaginary Blog

What’s with all the bunnies? As you know if you’ve followed this blog for a while, I like to take malapropisms (misspellings and misused words) found on the internet and elsewhere, and insert them into little articles and stories. Here are all my malaprop posts, lumped into one giant granddaddy post. There are more malaprops here than you can shake a stick at. (And why do you shake that stick, anyway? It’s not like the malaprops are hurting you. Other than your head.). Quid Essential NaNoWriMo Tips.

ABOUT THE BOOK ADDICT
About The Book Addict. WHO IS THE BOOK ADDICT? TheBookAddict.Net started as an extension of my love of reading and discussing books. Reading is my escape, and so I like to read anything I can get my hands on- and listen to audiobooks in my car while I am driving. I love the whirlwind feeling of being caught up and swept away by a great story. Nothing is better. Well, nothing except for talking about the books with anyone I meet. Really I just love books! Or more importantly, what am I not looking for?

9/1/14: Chapter Summaries Again! Okay, I've got the majority of the chapter summaries that I assigned people, but there's still a couple I'm missing. I'll give the stragglers until the end of this week, but after that I'll assume I'm not getting that one and just write it myself. Also, if any of you that have turned them in and have not claimed their sketch requests yet still want to, please let me know! And thank you guys so much for your help with these!
