Wednesday, August 16, 2006. 16th August 2006, Wednesday. Went to the famous Kumugaya Hanabi (fireworks) festival. It was excellent. It started around 7pm sharp and it was FANTASTIC! I have never sat so close to fireworks before and it was spectacular! The whole soccer field was filled with people, and in terms of area size I suspect it might be as big as the Telstra dome! Hundreds or mayabe thousands of people were there to watch it: 100 different firework displays with a sponsorship message to each.
