Dreaming Of Wild Roses: Thrifty Gardening
http://dreamingofwildroses.blogspot.com/2012/07/thrifty-gardening.html
Dreaming Of Wild Roses. Seasonal living Crafting Scents of home Living the Dream. Monday, 16 July 2012. Now all we need is for the sun to come out again and encourage a bit of growth. I planted the usual Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme as well as Chives, Greek Oregano, Basil and Spearmint (safely enclosed in a double pot to prevent a take-over). VERY beautiful and practical idea. I love this! Tuesday, 17 July 2012 at 07:28:00 GMT-3. Wednesday, 18 July 2012 at 05:19:00 GMT-3. View my complete profile.

Dreaming Of Wild Roses. Seasonal living Crafting Scents of home Living the Dream. Sunday, 1 July 2012. We managed to pick the hottest weekend of the year to start our construction project. We have been building a greenhouse during the past two days. Firstly, there was a base to build, which was filled with limestone. Then the fun began, as we tried to work out which part went where. Dreaming Of Wild Roses. Seasonal living Crafting Scents of home Living the Dream. Wednesday, 25 July 2012. I had been using the same wicker basket for my sewing supplies for the last 18 years or so. It had definitely seen better days. I had looked longingly for a new one and I saw this one on sale at Cath Kidston. If I get another 18 years out of this one, it will have justified the expense! It is also far prettier than my old basket and brings a smile to my face whenever I see it. Books Read In 2010.

Dreaming Of Wild Roses. Seasonal living Crafting Scents of home Living the Dream. Thursday, 5 July 2012. The ferry crosses the Northumberland Strait between Caribou, Nova Scotia and Wood Islands, PEI and the journey takes about 75 minutes. This saves a considerably longer trip by road to the Confederation Bridge, which is at the western tip of the Island. On our approach, we saw sandbanks and the red of the shoreline. The entrance to the harbour is guarded by the Wood Islands Lighthouse. Sally Goldenbaum...

Thoughts, recipes and musings on life in a country cottage. Thursday, 28 May 2009. It's been sometime since I last posted - and goodness how a few things have changed on Blogger! Seems I have to spend a bit of time re-learning how to load images etc! These photos of some flowers in my garden are to say Thank You. For all the wonderfully kind comments I have received since my last post (which I've deleted.). This next flower is commonly known as Bleeding Heart but more correctly as a Dicentra. Dreaming of...

http://leafblogotanicals.blogspot.com/2009/06/simple-things.html
Thoughts, recipes and musings on life in a country cottage. Saturday, 13 June 2009. I'm late, late for this post - I said I'd post this yesterday but I didn't reckon with 'Fridays' and all that Friday sometimes brings with it. So my apologies to Christina of the beautiful. And her celebration of the simple, everyday things in our lives. Sunshine on my face. My dogs the scent of honeysuckle in the early morning light. I wish you a peaceful weekend in the company of all you love. Vxx. 13 June 2009 at 14:58.

Thoughts, recipes and musings on life in a country cottage. Thursday, 11 June 2009. It's raining, it's pouring. For nearly a week now, we've had rain, rain and more of the jolly stuff. I know the ground was far too dry and the farmers were beginning to be a little depressed but I didn't think we needed quite this much rain. Thunder storms and lightning. Tropical rain. Deluging. Flooding. You name it, and it's doing it! Here she is again, but in close up. And once more, even closer. Castle. The latter...

Thoughts, recipes and musings on life in a country cottage. Saturday, 6 June 2009. And just as you were getting over the party from yesterday's celebrations for Danish National Day, they hit you with. Oh no; another party! Here are a few photos from our last trip to Sweden - we travelled to the island of Orust to visit the Hallberg Rassy yard during their Open Weekend. BIG mistake! Here's another view across the sound to Orust - how lovely it all was. I guess that you can see from the last couple of post...

Thoughts, recipes and musings on life in a country cottage. Friday, 20 February 2009. I can't say that I am normally too keen on goats. They seem to have a 'malevolent' eye in most cases and are smelly. rankly smelly. However, one lives and one learns. I should state that the smelly problem does not seem to arise with goats cheese - in fact, the smellier the better. Strange person that I am! As a way of paying for the purchase of the young and associated costs of feeding and raising them. However, they h...

Thoughts, recipes and musings on life in a country cottage. Saturday, 5 February 2011. It 'feels' like an age since I took a day off from work. but of course it is not as bad as that. honest! Over here in England, we are enjoying gale force winds - I hasten to add that these winds are nothing remotely like the force poor folk in Queensland, Australia have recently had to battle through. And after all those horrific floods too. They make me laugh. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Welcome to my blog! Midlife, M...

Thoughts, recipes and musings on life in a country cottage. Friday, 23 January 2009. Here is my latest cyclamen, photographed today in my kitchen. It was raining at the time I took these photos and then just after midday the rain turned to snow - those big fluffy flakes of snow that always remind me of Peanut cartoons when Linus and Snoopy would try to catch the flakes on their tongues. So evocative were those cartoons that I occasionally try to do the same thing myself! Wednesday, 21 January 2009. I lon...

Thoughts, recipes and musings on life in a country cottage. Wednesday, 10 June 2009. It seems like an age ago that we collected our 'new' rescue hens. At the time, I hadn't even thought of names for all of them, so I asked for suggestions from you. and I'm pleased to say that the two 'nameless' ones now have names. Gretchen and Miss Marple are the lucky ones (the other two already had names of Betty and Ellen). From Hens clematis and pear trees. This photo above shows you that they were still in quite po...

Dreaming of Whales | Contemplative thoughts on life and entrepreneurship.
Contemplative thoughts on life and entrepreneurship. Should you build it? Is it ok to build something that will probably fail? Should we as entrepreneurs only focus on what is known to have a high likely hood of success (or know to the best of our abilities will) and build from there? Is there a point to building things that will eventually just die a poor startup death with barely anyone showing up for the funeral? But is this a bad thing? If the gauge is all about time invested and high returns, then t...

Dreaming of White Chocolate. This is a baking blog highlighting the use of white chocolate. My focus is on desserts, particularly: pudding chip cookies, fudge, brownies, and cakes. Although the bulk of my recipes contain white chocolate, several feature milk chocolate or even dark chocolate to switch things up. You will also find the occasional savory dish, my favorite being soup and chili made in the slow cooker. Enjoy these recipes! Littlest Pet Shop 3-Layer Cake. September 30, 2016. June 27, 2016.

Dreaming Of Wild Roses. Seasonal living Crafting Scents of home Living the Dream. Tuesday, 14 August 2012. Like A Phoenix Rising From The Ashes. I know that I haven't blogged much recently, but there is a reason. Last time I went to post, I got a message informing me that my blog storage capacity is full and I was then in a dilemma as to how to proceed. Then there was the time required to set up a whole new blog. Anyway, to cut a long story short, thanks to some helpful advice from Heidi. The savings on ...
